Brill price for a mechanical keyboard, they are Kailh reds, which stack up pretty well against the Cherry MX equivalent. I dare say some wouldn't really notice the difference, obviously depends on what you're accustomed to. At this price, I think it's well worth it.
Comes with 8 blue key caps to pop over certain keys that you may want to highlight. Most would likely use to mark out WASD ect... Although I'm going to say something that could shock you all. I USE ARROWS! Not ashamed! Blame Unreal Tournament from back in the day
Also: You get a mouse mat too (435 x 320mm)
Which again, you can't grumble too much at, considering the price point of both together, tis a bonus

I remember the hot key combination in '96 for the Quake test was ZXC, with right mouse button to move forward. There was an adjustment curve later on, when we all realised that was mince.

I use a mech keyboard for everyday use, got used to the clacking, I don't do games.

Thanks for the response, that just looks so weird to me. I wonder if people seeing the Fosbury Flop for the first time back in the 60's had a similar feeling.

Have been looking for a mechanical keyboard for work, preferably a quiet one and ideally cheap, can anyone recommend? Thanks

Yeah, it has a nice clean look about it. I mean... I love the G910, but I'm tempted to grab one and store it, tbh

How do people use arrow keys when gaming? Your thumb wouldn't be within easy reach of the space bar for jumping and there's nothing like 'Q' and 'E' not to mention 'Z', 'X' and 'C'... Even the one lefty gamer I know uses '8', '4', '5' and '6' on the numpad with '0' for jump.

I've never fell short of keys over there - Obviously arrows for movement
(Not the UK G910, but you get the jist)

I'm a lefty and prefer to use the arrow keys, though I stick with WASD for games like BF which have far too many keys to rebind.
If you squint this keyboard looks suspiciously like a rip off of the Corsair K70.

Looks nice and voted hot but im after a half decent gaming keyboard and mouse for around £20...anyone?
Is element gaming dead. I have a carbon mouse but EG website is down and has been for ages so can't access any drivers. Eventually after no replies to emails I just decided to get a Razer.

These are red keys, I assume like Cherry Reds, they will be smooth to push and have less resistance than other mechanically switched keys. They'll be better for gaming than typing. In that manner, the clack should only really come from the keys hitting home, there won't be a distinct mechanical click from the switch.

What about those membrane keyboards? Also loud clicks?

I use R D F G (initially on Day of Defeat but now everything FPS)...

Nope not silent at all, every key you press will have a loud clack to it.

Didn't really mean you. Just anything I research is just undated with fanboys saying they're better, simply because they are. Kaihl are not exactly new and all they do is this kinda of thing. It's not a simple Chinese company mass cloning every object, there own factories, multiple, decades of experience etc.
Kaihl are also rated for 50mill+ strokes.
Btw I don't have a Kaihl, I actually have some unbranded crap that had insanely good reviews so took a risk, and still happy I did. I took the risk because of the hours researching cheery/kaihl led to no actually decent info.
Randomly I have a few Cherry keyboards, and a mouse,in my work kit. Random spares from ePoS units etc.

Who's a fanboy? Cherry are well established and even have videos of their multi-million pound production line and QC in progress. They have earned their reputation.
Kalih on the other hand, point me to any of that. If you want to make an educated decision based on information available I know which I would trust more.
Each to their own.

The QC of kailh isn't crap though, and until I find proof to the show otherwise I'll not become a fanboy. Sorry.

I used WASD for unreal tournament, both worked by default afaik.
And a blind test off 25 people was done, results inconclusive - basically nobody could tell the difference and people are just fan boys. Whish I could find that article, read it when researching a keyboard to buy last year.
Heat tho.

My older bro got me into building PCs back in about 97, so he taught me the arrows. I can't change! But yeah re: The keys, I think they are just as good. Although running a Logi G910 now.

It's probably more durability that suffers vs the Cherry ones as their QC is excellent. That said these keys probably last beyond the lifetime of the average keyboard usage anyway so it's kind of a non-issue
