Aldi in Bedford have 5 of the Dyson's available to customers when the store opens this morning. And they've stopped the "golden ticket" giveaway thing.

That looked to me like a top of the range Dyson too with the ball (lol) technology (see how gimmicky it sounds...because it probably is). Also that Miele wasn't a top of the range Miele. All their uprights are pretty much the same.

"Facts are based of customer experience"
I think you may have misunderstood the definition of facts?

Yes but its the quality. The drive, the build, interior, quietness etc. Okay we have a Mercedes too and it has had quite a few problems also but nothing that couldn't be fixed by Mercedes and they were only short term problems.
Same goes with BMW they are so well built and drive amazingly well (better than Mercedes Benz imo). I love my BMW and proud that its made in Germany.
In general though I think its fair to say most things Made in Germany or Made in Japan tend to be of higher quality...what with the higher salaries.

Mercedes - prestige name but very patchy reliability record, so please don't generalise. Btw I own a Merc !

That video shows how biased it was, using a top of the range Miele against a bottom end range Dyson.

Yes it does and you are mistaken. It is not blindly believing. It is judgement based on facts and reputation.
Germany has a high reputation of great engineering because they have some many good engineering companies.
Facts are based of customer experience.
This video proves that Miele is way ahead of Dyson in terms of performance and quality. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DK-7X3oSVoA

The Vax deal a few weeks ago for £80 for upright and hand held was much better than this.

Same reason people think the Germans build the best cars. The design for Dyson is still completed in the UK as far as I'm aware.

Miele uprights are far better at cleaning your carpets as shown on numerous youtube videos and they are made and designed in Germany. Dysons are made in Asia.

Does it matter where something is made and designed, surely it is about performance?
My work keyboard was made in Asia, and my home one in Germany. When I type an email it still looks the same?
Seriously trying to understand why people blindly believe a particular region is good/bad?

There won't be a queue now as it doesn't open until tomorrow! But be prepared for a long wait as when our store opened one guy slept outside all night on a piece of carpet .......and all he got was a £10 voucher

Opening/refurbished store offers it looks like. Aldi do some brilliant deals when they open/reopen a refurbished store. Got to get there early though!

Are these things engineered any better than the old Dysons ? I had numerous niggly problems requiring adjustment or replacement parts. I just wish Dyson would build in more quality & robustness.
I now have a Miele, which just runs & runs.

This is from the stock held at the Biggleswade ALDI store for the last month. I know as I tried to purchase one.
Annoyingly when I contacted ALDI by phone before rushing out to purchase one from Biggleswade they told me unusually they had a number in stock.
It certainly was unusual, when I got to the store I was told they are reserved for the new Bedford store opening and you can't have one.
They only had eight then so don't hold your breath for them lasting more than that many minutes before they all get sold !

Dyson: the iPhone of vacuum cleaners. Don't ask the price, just blindly buy the brand! Far better out there for far less money: try Shark for example.
