No - power is terrible - use a brush instead.

Maybe do what we did in the 'olden days' and use a normal vacuum cleaner? How did we cope? Aweful years they were

Hand held dyson vacuums are rubbish, suction sucks and so does the charge time.

And in your opinion what would be a better alternative to a dyson handheld?

You all snapped these up quick.

Standard price really, still a brilliant wee handheld vacuum though. Our DC34 must be about 6or7 years old now still going strong. Keep it in the campervan now with a 12v charger.

I bought this around Christmas time from Tesco, £89 I think. I live in a small studio apartment and it's ideal for picking up dust and crumbs from the floor and takes up less space (I have limited space) than a full vacuum cleaner. I only had the battery run out once because I neglected to charge it after the previous use. I also use it with the brush ending instead of using a cloth for dusting surfaces.

Good find , it was £89 at Tesco month or so back
WHICH , YouTube videos etc show the V6 or is it V8 are slightly better
I'm holding out for them though this is fab for Mums bday & Mothers Day which is same day usually for me!
Any one got any ideas on cheapest source for the V6/V8?

It's pretty niche, even for cars you are better off with a long hose. Perhaps OK for caravans and kitchens, if you really must pick up some crumbs that instant. Or if a dust pan is too much like hard work.

Are the v6 versions better then?

Dysons tv add shows WHICH V8 recommendation at the end. Look at price differences, YouTube vids etc on V6 v DC34 .
Where's cheapest for the V6 or V8 anyone ?

we've had one for a while and it's quite disappointing, not very powerful

Tempted by this, as wanted a decent handheld for quick clean-ups but also for doing the car.
£100 seems a good price, but are they (the DC34 handhelds) really all they're cracked up to be?
