So basically it's £7.99 for used and £9.99 for nearly but not quite new! :stuck_out_tongue:

I had an argument with an assistant when I purchase a 'new' copy of Donkey Kong and the disc had numerous fingerprints and a few scuffs whereby he initially denied there being such things on the disc until he had a proper look and said "oh sorry" and got me another but that had the exact same problem. I said whatever they're doing needs to change because whenever I buy a 'new' game on Amazon it always comes shrinkwrapped and it's in perfect condition. I said that I may as well just buy the 'used' copy and get the same thing.
I stupidly bought another game from an adjacent town, got home and the same god damn problem. I rang the store up and they didn't seem bothered at all. Once bitten, twice shy. I just use the place to trade in my amazon purchases to then buy Steam store credit slightly discounted.

To be honest joe I really couldn't be bothered for a few quid. I actually returned 2 ps4 supposedly new games as the discs were scratched and all the game details were missing. Eventually received a full refund but also had a ps vita and 3ds game that I received unsealed which again were supposed to be new. I figured I had given them enough chances so personally I would never buy new from them again.

Not normally a FPS fan, but this is really solid. Excellent difficulty level - no brainless shooting, gotta keep on your toes the whole time. Weapons introduced slowly so you get a real understanding of when and how to use each one. Playing on the difficulty Hurt Me Plenty ha

I've never ever had a new sealed copy of anything I've ordered from grainier games. ( 4 in total) always sent unsealed games and 2 of my supposedly ps4 games were scratched discs and definitely second hand. Just look at reviews on trust pilot.

Do not take it lying down. You've been lead to believe you were purchasing brand new products. It's misleading, it's misadvertisement, it's not how customers should be treated and it's darn right sh**ty. You would have more than enough cause to be fully reimbursed.

They sell you A grade games they get in from trade ins as NEW. Customer service told me the website never stated BRAND NEW SEALED... just the word NEW. Flase advertising?? you decide...
Yet if you buy a brand new game and break the seal you can no longer return unless its faulty. Go figure....

Why have these cowboys never been reported to trading standards or investigated is beyond me

The developer would still get paid, it's only the stores and the Internet sites that miss out on MORE profit from the sale. The developer would have a fixed cost per unit usually which tallies in to sales related increments. Which is why some companies such as Square-Enix make special editions of games exclusively only available from them to cut out the "middle man"

That's great, but if you want to see more great games like Doom, then you need to actually support the developer instead of saving what amounts to a large pack of crisps or a fizzy drink.

This game is brilliant, lengthy single player game that steadily introduces new enemies & weapons & environments, and hasn't overstayed its welcome yet. Excellent secret finding system too similar to the old Doom. All in all if you want a solid action oriented single player FPS, buy this game.

Very very rarely. I avoid this place like the plague. It's not even a secret what's going on at that company. Conning customers by thinking they are purchasing a brand new product and advertising it as such when it's not sealed and has definitely been used. That's how they sell "new" products cheaper than most stores and generate business. When in actual fact your new product would definitely not be new

Grainger Games don't have very good business practises and you're spot on with what you say. I myself a while ago and a few people I know have tried to purchase "new" games from them. The workers have bought them out not sealed at all in any factory cellophane. They are making money through basically conning people into thinking they are buying a brand new product when they are in fact just purchasing a very good copy of a used item from who knows where. When I pressed the employee why my new game wasn't sealed, I was told because this one had been checked over. I said well can I have a different one that is sealed, which I was then hilariously told that one was the last one (clearly wasn't and shouldn't be marked as new if it's not sealed) I told the gentleman I think I'll pass and I left the shop. I know 3 other people who have had same outcomes. There really does need to be some sort of investigation into what actually goes off there.

No it hasn't, it's only been that price on a promotional deal from "The Game Collection" which only lasts 2 - 3 days, then its back to their normal price, currently £13.95, not sure what that has to do with anything when this deal is £9.99 for new.
In any case people are looking for the best deal currently available, previous deals that have expired are irrelevant.

Thanks OP, seems like a lot of good deals for 2016 games recently! They gave me a 10% code for another order of pre-owned games, do they have anything else that's priced reasonably?
