Obviously because of all the Destiny 2 talk recently. It's going pretty cheap over the weekend on the Playstation Store, even less than most disc-based editions elsewhere at the moment.

Good price for the full game...
Bungie can suck it if they think I'm buying Destiny 2 though :stuck_out_tongue:

Bargain for the collection. Got mine for £19.99 on Black Friday last year but it's hard copy.
Level 25+40 boosts suck because there's no levelling up after that really.

No levelling up once you hit 40? that's not correct. you still need to level up all three sub classes for your chosen guardian (or all three!) from scratch plus level up your equipment to 400 light.
Its actually a great time to buy now as all the content has been updated to current light levels.

This should be made free in september it will end of there final year would nice to treat your gamers before destiny 2.

its activision, you have a better chance of winning the lottery than them given free stuff.
when this first came out didn't they say it would have a five year plus life span?

Wouldn't exactly be a treat for your gamers, if all your gamers will already own the game anyway so it would be a move to encourage new players to the franchise.
I wouldn't be surprised if this happens but considering this is Activision I wouldn't expect a freebie from them, this is the same publisher that put a full price game paywall in front of the CoD: MW remaster.

End of final year....So give all those players that didnt support the game, it for free and crap on all those who have supported Bungie.
Then release Destiny 2.....and not as many people buy it cos they are too busy playing Destiny 1 for free.
Meanwhile the rest of us pay again for the new version, that ends up with less populated servers as some took Destiny 1 for free and some decided to stay as now the servers in Destiny 1 are busy again.
If I was Bungie...I wouldn't hire you for our marketing area......but then im just typing words whilst I wait for my coffee to brew after a long night shift....so all is good in the hood.
Bungie is just going to do the same model all over again and drip feed us content.
Will I buy it? Probably
Will I moan? Probaly so
Will I buy collectors edition knowing that we will get ripped off with just a few small extras thrown in? Most definatly.
Anyways, kettle is whistling so am off....have fun ya'all x

all in one, its in the updates, you just can't access DLC until you buy it

No, Destiny has been given a 10 year life. So Destiny 1 is in its 3rd year and hands the baton over to Destiny 2 so it will be a while yet before we see the end of this franchise.

Reduced from £49.99, yeah right. Seems like a good deal if you didn't get sucked into buying a new version every few months cos the price of the DLC was so expensive. Gaming version of heroin.

This was the game which finally destroyed my faith in games. I got the original and it was absolute garbage, then I felt compelled to give it a try and bought the collection. Can someone tell me if this is now the complete game?
Also screw destiny 2. Bungie needs to die.
Question: I got an item which instantly upgrades my character to level 40 or something. What's the max level needed to pomplete the game story without grinding too much? Should I upgrade my previous level 8 character or make a new one? I don't want to to do the same missions again though.

I think the original base storyline goes up to level 20. From there the DLCs fill in the gaps with missions all the way up to Level 40. I don't think much grinding is necessary if going from story mission to story mission (unless the mission themselves involve a bit of grinding) as the levels progress quite naturally.
Any questions pop me a message, I should be able to help with most things.

Based on your comment I don't think you have the patience for Destiny. The story mode is kind of a tutorial for the end game content and that end game content is all about replaying the same levels over and over and over (and over) in order to get to max light level of 400.
In answer to your question though, If you are just interested in the story then don't use the spark of light to upgrade to level 40. You will naturally level up as you play through the story.

That's fine, I just wanted the game digitally so that it's always on my system. There's no way for me to buy this collection, seemingly.

Then go to rise of iron dlc and it say 'cannot buy as you don't own the taken king'

Not played Destiny before but my son has preþy much lived on this game since launch. Is it too late for me as worried if be overwhelmed by the amount of content. Also wondering would I have to play each part in the correct order?

Use communities and message people to team up with. I played the game solo on Xbox One and it got dry for me. Then on PS4 I added people from communities and joined in the twitter community. Met a lot of people to team up with and played endless hours. That's where the cost of the game went out the window for me.

Not voted either way, you can get the disc version for £2 extra on amazon.

I am in the same situation as you, would happily pay the extra couple of quid for this to have the whole thing digital. I did see that if I go to the collection on the store, I have a download option though. So I uninstalled the disc version and installed that one. It seems to have all my addons there but says 'trial version' in the corner so I am not sure if it is actually the full game or not downloaded from the store.
It looks like since this offer has ended, they have changed the purchase restrictions on the PS Store. I can now add the complete collection to my basket, I could do that only a few days after the sale ended and still can today. Here is hoping it goes on sale again soon for a similar price point.

The collection is now on offer again, for £21.49 so a little bit more expensive this time.
I have the option to buy this now and since it is on offer again... time to get some more credit.
