Good price for the features and power this offers. Step up from the X3300W which is also well priced right now. Not suited for most setups but for those that have the need, get it while you can.

So tempted. If I wake during the night, I'm going to have to get it.

Very good price, I'm surprised it's dropped this low already. I was tempted at £1100 before Xmas, then saw it drop to £999, but ended up buying a different amp.
This will be ideal for any 9 channel Atmos/DTS:X setups with the added bonus of Heos allowing you to enjoy music in another room.

Wow is it still 2014? Think Loughborough Guy will be along any moment to compare this to a Sony. I'm sure you'll find it hillarious :smirk:
Wondering if its worth the extra £300 for the X4300

Movies, more power, more oomph. With those speakers i really wouldn't be looking at the 2300 at all.

Thanks for the info buddy - much appreciated. Looks like I will be eating dust for the foreseeable future then.

The 3300 is certainly very capable. Great features and sound. The Yamaha RX-A660 does sound sightly better to me but lacks inputs.
3300 or 4300? Good question. I would go for the 3300 in this case unless you need things the latter has. Former has no phono input for example, and no HEOS support.

If I am going to do this, I am going to do this correctly and only once, so I will go for the 4300 I think.
In your experience, would you say this is likely to drop any further in the next few months? New house ready in 3 months and I'd rather buy it then...but if I need to get it now...I could be persuaded :smile:

Only when the next revisions are released whenever that is.

Doubt it will drop by much more in 3 months.
Piece of advice: if your room has hard floors or large area with window panes / solid blinds, the higher spec AVRs (and speakers) will be wasted, save your money and get the X2300W.

The X2300 sounds worse than the X3300. Doesn't have as much body or clarity in my tests.

I was going to go for a 2300 and a set of Kef Q900...in fact this entire set;
