1. Better not to run it for 3 hours every day (especially in summer).
2. Instead of buying low energy one, just turn the thermostat down on this one. I'll leave more patient people to bang their heads against a wall explaining why that's the same thing.

I have one of these generic heater's (for the shed) as it works very well, they normally cost around £10 - £15 so for a mere £2 this is a bit of a bagain!

​i was trying to get on that tarrif as misy days 1-4 p per hour, but when u do washing, ironing, drying, shoots up , but unfortunately i failed credit check even tho never ran on empty expect that one time when there switched from normal to smart meter and messed it up deleatinng my electric account and never making a new one causing me for first time to go to emergency credit

Have 2 of these I bought for £6 each on amazon a while back. They are surprisingly good warm up each room. Plus they work as a cooler as well for the summer.

Average UK electricity cost per kWh = 14.05p. For anyone that's interested.

If you were to run this 3 hours a day, everyday, it would cost you £350 a year. Buy a low energy one.

Several poundland visited and no one knows the offer.

These days the difference between Poundland and other shops is that everything costs at least a pound.
They're welcome to use that as a slogan.

Two tubular heaters 240w each will do the same job :smiley:

The one I got, the actual selector snapped off. (wasn't marked Daewoo, but these are probably made in the same factory)

​Thanks. When producing a slogan for major high street chains it's important to keep it snappy and concise. Unnecessary verbosity is to be avoided. Nobody has time to read lengthy explanations of a retailer's USP (unique selling point). If you can't get your point across in as few words as possible then you probably need to find yourself a career outside of advertising.
What I'm trying to say is that brevity is the key aspect. Keep it short. Don't go on and on.

I have one of these style fan heaters not this brand they have three heat settings cool (no heat), warm heat, hot hot heat, for the sake of £2 it's worth buying several to heat/cool which ever places you need them in

Looks like Winter was too warm for these to be dumped on Poundland.


Exactly, the only way around this is making your own electricity.

​the unit rate isn't too bad although standing charge is abit too much probably works out cheaper if u manage fit more than 14kwh in 8 hours seems a bit too much hassle though.

none in store in Tunstall Stoke-on-Trent anyone managed find any stock anywhere.
