Best cartoon racing game ever made. Yes, better than any Mario Kart game and I'm a big fan of that series. Plays great on the Vita too.
I have a faint glimmer of hope that this will be an expansion to the remastered crash trilogy coming later this year. Please God let it be so!

online access disks were included with a handful of games, or you could send of for them. PlayStation shipped them from europe, mine came from Germany if I remember correctly. N I also asked about local before you get arsey.
Plus there was also that "under the table" project that allowed local only to piggy back via your pc to others using the same service, which later became used for the same purpose for the xb iirc.

A big high profile kart racer is long overdue on the PS4. Amazes me that no one has tried to plug what is a huge gap.
Will probably end up with one based on a franchise people aren't that fond of. Killzone Killkarts anyone?

Agree with practically everyone here. I loved and played a few Mario Kart games before this, but CTR is the best for me. Can't believe they never followed it up.
I just wish the PS4 would allow for backwards compatibility if only on PS1 games. I understand why it won't for PS2 and PS3, but it actually had the architecture for playing PS1 games. Irritates me that they don't do it. Money lost.

They actually did. It was called Crash Nitro Kart, for the PS2 i think. Wasn't nearly as good as this though

Big fan of the Crash trilogy, but never gave this a chance due to my fanboyism of a certain other Kart racer. Oh well, it would be rude not to at this price. Hopefully it will get me super pumped for June, awooogga boooga :smile:

Sony really dropped the ball here. Everybody loves a good kart racing game. Just look at every Nintendo owner who has Mario Kart. The PS4 hasn't got a single kart racing game that comes close to CTR. Instead we get stuff like No Man's Sky

Doesn't have to be Sony. They don't own rights to Crash now. The Sonic racers were good too. It's the absence of any of these that's so weird. Does no one see the massive niche to exploit on PS4 and Xbone?

Mario Kart 64 is one of the most overrated games ever in my opinion. Yes the multiplayer is fun, however as a single player experience their is not much replay value at all.
CTR and Diddy Kong Racing are much better in this aspect, both offering excellent adventure modes with plenty of variety and hours of extra content to unlock such as hidden characters, tracks etc.

Holy crap what a game. I agree with everyone here, the drift boost mechanic in this game was so much better than mario kart.
