Found at West Wickham Sainsbury's. Not sure if it's nationwide.

Glad I kept my set top HD box now. Will come in handy for at least 1 of my 3 other perfectly serviceable Sd TVs. The price of "progress" eh, just so that more people can upload pointless videos to Facebook....

whats the PC input? Is it a simple VGA or HDMI port to connect to your PC and user as a second monitor?

Won't be national it's just store specific same with add a etc someone posted a 42" a few months ago in add a for £80 and said it was national I asked at 8 stores around me none of them has even heard of such a deal and said asda would never sell a tv for that price unless it was stock they couldn't shift even on black Friday

My local Sainsburys also have a tv reduced (yeah, just the one, it's a small store). I can't remember the brand but it's a 48inch smart tv for £200. I guess these are store specific, WIGIG kind of deal. Personally I'm waiting for a good 4k offer.

Heat added as a good price. However, am I correct in thinking that the current free view signal will be turned off in 2020 in favour of the free view hd channels? Thus meaning you'd need at external box for this tv?
I believe Celsus is a Vestel brand, and Vestel is currently where Samsung or LG were 10-15 years ago - remember the jokes at the time around Korean TVs or for that matter, cars?

Bought one of these 2+ years ago (same model). Doesn't have Freeview HD tuner but use it with Virgin so that's not a worry. Reasonable picture but hasn't got many HDMI ports for all your modern things. Generally pleased with it.

Tell your parents to stop throwing bricks at it (or watch something less annoying)!

Had a 42" hd 3d celcus for about 5/6 years now. Still going strong and has been excellent, meanwhile my parents have had 2 lg that have both broken.
I would buy this over any lg any day of the week.
I'd be very surprised if a HDTV didn't have a modern tuner. I would have thought this one would be fine. But I can't say for definite. It would seem like a strange idea to manufacter a HD TV which is incapable of receiving HD signal? A newish TV, ours is far from new or high end will work fine - it will just require a retune in three years.

"celc[i]us 40" inch full hd 1080p LED TV"
With a brand name like that it's bound to get hot in here :smirk:

Probably store specific dependent on stock but if you can find one for £100.....

Some of these supermarket brands have actually had good reviews in the technical press.
I had to blink when I saw this 5 star What HiFi review for a 40inch Celcus LCD in 2013:
