I sympathise fella, I have a couple of friends/family members with similar issues . . . I usually substitute (the Grapefruit) with bitter lemon and freshly squeezed lime juice (that is mixed with a quarter teaspoon of sugar before adding to the bitter lemon mixer) it sounds weird but generally works very well, play around with it and see how you get on.

Another alternative that works is using Cachaca diluted with 7up/Sprite/Lemonade.

Just feel like a vodka and grapefruit,but cant have grapefruit juice because of my meds :disappointed:

The only Low Cal version in my stores was a tonic water which I avoid, I did buy regular tonic.

I use the Tomato in various differing Bloody Marys.
Both the Pineapple and Orange in the Painkiller Cocktail.
The Grapefruit is great with Mezcal and/or Tequila in cocktails like The Spicy Paloma.

Daft question but do you just mix these with gin or vodka etc? Can you add soda or something too to make it a longer drink?
