This is a good deal but I understand if you pay a little extra someone from BC will show up at your door and hand you a bag of unidentified meds :smirk: Delivery for Mr. Wiggins...

I think if you are clipping cyclists with your wing mirror you might want to re-read the highway code and give them a little more space.

Quote the opposite, if you pay extra i.e. Race membership, someone will come round your house and ban you from cycling if you have asthma. edit. Unless you have a TUE for your inhaler

EDIT: Is the 10% off at halfords on anything?

9 Mar 17#19
This doesn't insure your bike against being stolen of course. Just if you are in an accident.
Yes 10% off anything at Halfords, not just bike stuff!
10% off at Chain Reaction too, but you have to spend £100 for the discount to apply :disappointed: (something they changed a few years ago)

It's a good deal if you can find something at Evans that isn't shockingly expensive compared to anywhere else.
They occasionally have every good clearance offers, but their normal prices are very high indeed.

This is a cheap licence to ride you mean it, mow down a pedestrian on the footpath and the insurance just sorts out all the compo.
whatyadoinsucka to boostii
10 Mar 17#39
A footpath I doubt it, bicycles shouldn't be on a footpath unless clearly signposted "bicycles allowed" and even then you should give way to pedestrians..
Thanks op, wish I'd had this a month ago, will be signing up ..
Any catches with this Evans purchase, is it a straight signup with no catches

Had to call BC who processed the membership over the phone instead.

I contacted evans re the £2 - this is the response...
I have looked into this, and been advised that the additional charge is because the British Cycling membership has increased in price, so they essentially charge you difference.
We weren’t aware they were passing this cost on to the customers, which is why it isn’t mentioned on our site. I have processed a refund of the £2, so that should get to your PayPal account within 2-3 working days.
If you have any further queries, please don’t hesitate to contact us again
