Awesome shaver, I've had one for over two years now (the Amazon version, which is basically the same thing) and it's been great. Just remember to clean it regularly.

Really good price and very nicely timed as my trusty series 3 has been a wee bit temperamental recently. Even managed to find one in the nearest store which *never* happens on Argos deals. Cheers!

Best electric I've used. Good battery life making the "Hygiene" graph appear a bit paranoid when you're travelling. Cleaning fluid seems to last a while in the cartridges.

I bought this from Amazon at 99.99. Well worth the money. Highly recommend this.

Great razor, its lasted me years. Although much of the fake chrome body (its plastic) will peel over time, it still looks OK for its age. This was recommended to me by a dermotologist who said these Braun electric razors that go back and forwards (instead of discs that spin round and round - i.e. Philishave) are less likely to cause ingrown hairs.. so far so good.
What I noticed coming from a Philishave is that the Braun is a little bit more noisy in operation, for what its worth.. you may wake someone up if shaving late at night, in close proximity!
The blade is replaceable too.. costs about £25 IIRC, and the display tells you to change it about every 18 months.. that said I used the first one for over 3 years without trouble, before I replaced it... and only then, out of curiousity rather than neccessity.
Be prepared to be buying alcohol cleaning fluid for the rest of your life (search CCR3 on your favourite jungle shopping site)... its about £11 for 3 cartridges.. the cartridges last me just over a month each.. and I use the cleaning function after every shave which is about once every 3 days for me. Worth doing as each time you shave it feels like new.

Yes foil shavers (Braun,Panasonic) are usually better than rotary models( Philips).
this is a great model and this price is really good.
I also recommend Panasonic LV65 for similar price.

Have had this for 2 years and can highly recommend it. The cleaning fluids, as someone else has already said, lasts quite a while too, as is quite cheap!

I've not had an electric razor for years, I found they used to tear my face up.
I'm getting tired of buying Gillette Power Fusion blades and overpriced shaving gel.
Is this electric razor kind to your skin etc? You don't break out in spots or anything??

i've been using one for many years without any issue. replacement heads have always been easy to obtain from amazon.

Great shaver (I use one myself) but replacement heads aren't available from many places so you'll find they're relatively expensive when you come to need one in 8 months time (if you can get them anywhere by then).

replacement heads are always available on amazon and shavers.co.uk and the price is not that expensive.comparing to regular razors they work out much cheaper and much easier, faster way to shave.
also they should easily last 12 months even more with daily usage.

My advice is to buy the cheapest Braun when there is an offer and then plan to replace it every 18 months.
I've been through lots of expensive ones and find the cheap ones although no bells and whistles shave about the same for my face.
Hot for the price.

After splooging over £100 on a fancy one in my early twenties I can only back up this comment. My current one was on offer and cost less than the replacement blades, its a two minute job to clean it and to be fair, you should really do that after every shave anyway!

I've been using a series 7 for a couple of years after getting fed up with buying razers. This shaver gives you a close shave and is easy to maintain. £85 is well worth it!!
