Very good price for a very good temperature control kettle. Think these come with a two year guarantee from Bosch.

Mixed reviews if I remember correctly. Many complain it leaks. Regardless, at this price it's worth a shot. Hot from me. Ordered one, might purchase a second one

This kettle is really good. I got one from John Lewis a couple of years ago and it doesn't leak at all. At £15 it's a steal!

I have one of these in the red colour, no leaks so far. great kettle. I think if they do leak it's a relatively easy fix though, if you're into a bit of diy.

We have one in our office, got it from John Lewis a few years back and *touch wood* no problems so far, It happily boils about 20 times a day for 5 of us here

It's odd, I've been using a kettle for the last 25 years or so and never needed a temperature control.

Coffee should not be made with boiling water.

Really I didn't know that might have to look into getting one, shame the £15 ended so quick : /

Pretty decent kettle but sometimes it seems to boil for ages before shutting off.

The temperature control is for different tea, such as green tea which is recommended to use water at 70c, black tea 100c. Plus some drink hot water on its own or with a little lemon, but don't want it boiling so they set the temperature at 70/80c

Good idea, unless you obtain your water from hot springs :stuck_out_tongue:
these are amazing. my only complaint is that it's made of plastic not metal

I have had this kettle in black for over two years and it is very good. I use it for freshly ground coffee and green tea both of which are better made at lower temperatures. Only one fault/criticism, the blasted beep when you switch it on and when it reaches temperature. Ok at first but every time! You can't switch it off or change the volume. At 5:30 in the morning it can be heard throughout the house! Now that it is out of warranty I am going to modify it. Great kettle though and no problems with leaks for mine.

If you stand by a kettle and don't boil too much water you can switch the thing off before the water gets too hot.

If you look up at the sky, you can tell what the weather is going to be as well.

Not to worry, if you take milk and use instant coffee, then mix together first before adding water from the kettle.

Depends which tea. See musssy's post.

I've owned the cream version for over two years with very few problems. It occasionally doesn't switch off as fast as you'd like, I think this may be because the sensor is covered in limescale.
I have never used the 'keep warm' function and only seldom use the temperature options though it's nice to know they're available if you ever need them.

Great kettle. Have had one for over 5 years and it's still going strong. Couldn't do without temperature selection now.

I'll just check the weather online for free whilst I wait for the water in my ten pound kettle to almost boil.

These eBay links are scammers.
Not so. Scammers are going crazy selling Bosch kettles for £15. Fell for a black one last week and trying to get a refund now. Would advise against searching for this particular kettle on eBay as loads keep appearing around £15 then disappearing just as quickly along with the seller and their non existent items! The account I used had good feedback but I didn't notice to later it hadn't been used since 2014 when the sellers sold a bunch of 99p phone cases so this would satisfy PayPal to allow instant withdrawal of funds. 12 negative feedback received from the account I purchased from in last two days all with different item numbers but the same item. Can only imaging the link above is associated with the scam as these kettles are £35 refurbished so a bashed box won't bring a new one to £15.01!! Be careful people!!

Had this and the matching toaster for maybe 2 years now. Kettle does not leak, temp setting is usefully, major annoyance is the LOUD start and stop BEEP

I got a temperature control kettle last summer thanks to Amazon Warehouse. Had no interest or (I thought) no requirement for one. But it's actually really useful. I make cafeteires/instant coffee a lot and it's good to know I'm not "scolding" the coffee by heating the water to the right temperature. Usually I would boil the kettle and let the water sit for a while, or try to switch it off a little earlier. Not so much into flavoured teas so can't comment on any improvement there.
It won't change your life but if you're a caffeine addict it's worth considering.

Yeah that seller has low feedback and has sold a bunch of phone cases recently as well with the exact same description as when I got scammed. They sell the phone cases and low cost things to satisfy PayPal then they can withdraw funds instantly even though their items won't exist. Buyers can't leave feedback until AFTER the last delivery date time frame so you'll see all the negatives appear in ten days or so and until then everything will look okay! Some buyers will leave a positive with a negative comment as eBay don't allow negative feedback until after the seller has had a chance so this is why they don't do next day delivery and instead make delivery ten days away! Best buying a new one like the one in this post!

Just from the fact the listing is the exact same as the one i fell for but the black version. The seller has low feedback and has sold silly small items to allow them to bypass PayPal withdrawals delays. I've been keeping an eye and new listings appear and disappear within hours and has been happening all week. Same item £15 or £15.01 different colours. Same description of brand new but box damaged. Bargain with exclamation marks. It's all coming from the one place and I doubt it's in the UK. It's also unlikely someone would be able to afford to sell this with free postage for £15 just because a box has some damage. There mustve been a lorry pile up in the Bosch distribution centre for so many to be damaged and then Bosch must have just sold them off cheap to hundreds of random ebayers with less than thirty feedback who normally only sell phone cases - Or maybe there's a scam going on!!

But it's not the kettle that's fake it's the fact the item is non existent if thats what you meant. I'm not talking about this actual thread item just warning of people trying to pick up an even cheaper one as someone posted a link above to a fake item and it's only going to encourage people to search!

Thanks, good to know. I'll be sure to be more careful in the future. Luckily I didn't see the £15 till after it was sold

Reminds me of the cheap Mini MXIII boxes that were on ebay for £10 or something about a year ago? Very common scam on ebay. Hope nobody gets burned, be careful.
