BOSCH Serie 8 WTW87560GB Heat Pump Tumble Dryer is one of the best dryers as per WHICH reviews.
It comes with 2 years warranty
The dryer price is 689.99 and you get £50 discount if you applied code WASH50, then you can apply for £150 Master card on Bosch website which make the final price £489.99
WHICH Review:
"Bosch has done it. Not only is this heat-pump dryer brilliant at keeping bills low, it's one of the fastest heat-pump dryers we've tested since updating our test programme in 2013. It's also easy to use. In short; it's expensive, but excellent enough to be worth the money."
PROS: Quick at drying clothes, very energy efficient, clothes are dried evenly, most of the moisture will be trapped by the machine and not released into your home
CONS: There is a small chance the synthetics program will leave clothes slightly damp

OMFG! My sheets have turned in to a ball and my almost £500 washing machine is to blame because it doesn't have a reverse turn feature and my God I will have to unravel this mess manually, this is a total disaster, life these days, who'd live it eh? So much stress. The horror of having to unravel a wet duvet sheet, what a total nightmare!
How on Earth have we lived without this feature before? Come to think of it my £199 washing machine doesn't have this feature, I must be living in the stone age! Also Smartphones and social media, how did we live without them before? Come to think of it, I hate living now, there's more crap to worry about unnecessarily than before and just about every single person stares at a touchscreen all day long and ignores other people around them.
When I go round my friend's house and we put a film on, it's not long before every bloody person in the room is ignoring the film and staring at their phone, then at the end of the film they say, yeah that wasn't a bad film! How the hell do you know you didn't even watch it and now washing machines have a reverse spin feature and Android link up because people everyone has become utterly stupid!
I tried not having a smartphone, it doesn't work, because no one will talk to you anyway, you're there and you can't use Whatsapp or Facebook messenger, so you sit staring at everyone else in the room who are staring at their bloody phone screens. The world is mental now I hate it!
I can't wait for more hipster crap to be invented and more useless technology features, it's the same with food as well now, food it needs to be reinvented, so it's 5:2 this, Gluten free that, NO! stop it! Just stop it ARGHHH!
I thought I'd finished ranting but no, there's parents giving their 2 year olds phones and tablets, and this is all kids know staring at a phone, not interacting, because no one wants to interact with anyone else, so might as well get the kids in on it as well. Christ knows what kids will be like in 10 years time, they'll have all the social skills of a racist leper! Don't even get me started on porn! God I've had enough of this, I need to move to a proper society wherever that is. We're even ruining perfectly good societies now with our Western technological 'advances' It's like the crusades again, yeah look mate we know better than you just learn how to use this smartphone and we're building a McDonald's round the corner, you're definitely going to love it.

Ideally I'd want 5 year warranty on an item like this but It'll have the minimum UK guarantee according to UK legislation,Consumer Rights Act 2015 , which gives you arguably more consumer protection than the 2 year EU guarantee, ie up to 6 years to make a claim and so on. However as you'd have to argue and then take Currys to small claims court should you need to follow that avenue you might wish you hadn't bothered and bang your head against a wall instead as it'll be less painful.
I had so much hassel simply buying a tripod online from Currys and having failed deliveries and hopeless support... only when I made a scathing review about Currys did they instantly become helpful. This was for a £40 tripod, I can't imagine the trouble you'll have with something like this should you need to call upon their 'support'

This is a tumble dryer so the reverse action is usually fairly standard - my 16 year old basic hotpoint has it - and what's the point in having a dryer of stuff comes out wet and needing to be unravelled to dry manually?
Anyway, I've liked your post to try and cheer you up a bit.

How do you get 150£ cashback? When I check Bosch site it shows £50 for this model:
If anyone has ordered and received this, could you do me a massive favour and measure its depth? Unfortunately the information on AO, Bosch's website, etc, differ. I asked on Reevo and received a different answer as well!
It would be stacked on top of a washing machine, with a door almost immediately in front of it and a pipe close behind, so ideally I'd like to know:
The distance from the front of the forward feet to the back of the rear feet.
How far beyond the feet it protrudes in both directions (pipes, the door).
If there is anything protruding out the back, how high up the unit is it? The pipe already in the cupboard would overlap with only the top 10cm at most.
Thanks for any help.

What's with heat pump, any advantage over standard condensing?
I was just stating it didn't have the reverse turn feature which done might not be aware that it exists to avoid clothes balling up. As stated earlier i was about to buy this as it's a good deal but not for me as it didn't have the feature i wanted. Nothing more nothing less.
ps: Don't forget to keep taking your medicines, it might help control your OTT responses!

I know you were trying to be funny with that rant but paying £500 for a tumble dryer you'd expect it to have this feature. No need to get so worked up about it.

I bought this two weeks ago from John Lewis who price matched an Northern Irish retailer at just under £580. Unfortunately it's disappeared from the JL website or you'd be able to get a price match.
Just bought for £638 plus £150 MasterCard cash back from local independent retailer, so price nothing special.

the only issue I would be a little worried about is the service life of the product, as they are meant to be a little harder to repair. So a long guarantee would have been nice.

This is a great dryer. Had one over a year. No problems drying, very fast, uses half the power of my old one, plumbed into the drain so don't even need to empty.
Claimed the Mastercard offer with no issues too. I got mine from John Lewis though in case of any issues.

Yeah I've heard a lot about the fabled CRA - I honestly don't know anyone who's actually tried to claim. Like you said, I imagine it would be an absolute nightmare to actually claim on it. I suspect you'd be better following up with your credit card company instead, barclaycard have been pretty good in that respect for me.
So back to the original point. I agree, white goods like this I'd expect a minimum of 5 years. I picked up the samsung heat pump which has been pretty good so far - only thing which sucks is it can take an age to dry using the 'eco' setting (about 2 1/2 hours). Thankfully that doesn't impact me too much but I can imagine if you've got kids running around that would be very frustraiting.

We bought this dryer back in Oct 2014 for £425 (£575 minus £150 direct Bosch cash back) and haven't had any problems with it. It comes setup for condensing into the internal canister or you can change it so that the water drains directly to a drain outlet, which is great not having to empty it manually.
It is quite loud in comparison to our direct drive washing machine - our laundry area is a smaller room off to the side of the kitchen (no door between) and we can happily be in the kitchen when the washer is on it but when the dryer is on you certainly know it.
From the comment above, we did initially have issues with duvet covers 'balling' while drying but we now fold them up and lie them in flat to start with and they dry much better and seem to come out with fewer creases too.
