I had hassle with a failed delivery on mine, but got it a couple of days later. They have agreed to send me a £30 gift card as compensation, which feels like a fair exchange to me.
There are marks on the charging unit, so it looks like it could be a customer return, but I'm happy as long as it functions as it should.

Seems you can order for home delivery, I got to the card input part without the "isn't in stock" warning (it threw that up for the shovel) but decided I will wait for a new model to come on offer as I already have a couple of 18v 2ah coolpack with my multitool.

the one in the bag, a much better one than would have come with the set, doesn't physically fit in the case with the other bits. It grips and holds the bit when inserted, the 'original' one would have just been a holder.
better goodies are definitely not a problem!
jimmyt11
31 Mar 171#119
Yes all 3 I got were the same. It's a standard mould they use for the bit box and I guess that pack didn't originally come with one. The one provided is far better than the standard ones with other Bosch sets though.

Was it just me or was the bit extender missing from torx/bit set. Yet loose in a sealed bag inside there was a torx/bit quick release extender instead? Seems a little weird.

Received mine too in post today. The drill is a class of its own, glad that I held patience and skipped deals on other green model. The packaging by B&Q was rather complete overkill - humongous cardboard box, twice the size of Bosch pack and had no other bubble protection at all. It made Amazon packaging little respectable.

... similar, but different, having the two next to me ;-)
Most combi drills look the same on the surface, but external appearances can be deceiving. The green one is fine, but the blue one is definitely more torquey, and has more kick, than the other.

29 Mar 17#104
Would not be surprised of this has very similar guts like the green model previously posted on this site, £60 with two 2ah batteries (lithium) (controls and clutch look exactly the same)
We are in the middle of major house overhaul and this drill is keeping up surprisingly well, batteries last very long too imo.

29 Mar 17#103
I was fortunate to pick up one of these combi drills at the Wandsworth store... The sealed box wasn't in the greatest shape and there was a bit of dust, but otherwise it's a great bargain (it is indeed a GSB 18-2-LI Plus drill... even if the picture at B&Q shows a different model, and the B&Q listing doesn't indicate that it's the Plus version).
I'm not sure about the soft bag it comes with, but this may end up more versatile than a hard one (especially as it can be reconfigured by removing the velcroed inserts. Having a quality set of bits (Torx, quick release extender, etc) is a nice thing too. The charger is an AL1820CV, rather than the fancier model on the B&Q picture, but for the price it is hard to complain ;-)
It seems very well built (although not in the same class as the SDS plus drill I got from Bosch a few months back). Compared to the PSB 1800, it is a bit heavier, but torque is in a different league...
