Seems to just be this hotel, 21/01/2018 for 1 night. Ideal if you need to be in Thatcham or nearby for work. I did think it was close to Rugby centre, but it isn't (misread the postcode and read Rugby doh)!

I've booked and if I remember it in eleven months time I will be there, perhaps we should all meet in the bar for a drink.

The drink's going to cost more than the room.

@ KPascall..Yes very fed up about this , and as you say a price error! It seemed strange at the time I thought. Oh well.
I do not think for a min , it was booking system error!

Worked for me - booked - what could possibly go wrong for £4.75 - now just need to find a decent restaurant nearby. Looks like the Marco Pierre White Gastro pub that he used to have near Newbury is no more. Any recommendations ?

His pub was the Carnarvon Arms. From Trip Advisor the reviews still look good so may still be worth a try?

The Spring Inn is a few miles down the A4 ... good quality food
That's one hell of a good rate, I checked to see how much it was this coming Wednesday (need a Hotel in that general area) & its £130!!! Have some Heat!

Thanks OP , I do not know , why chaps moan it is £4.75 for two! I have checked on Tripadvisor and out of 533 reviews
only 16 have said it is terrible!
So myself and Mrs Cool are in! Drinks in the bar at 6.00 pm I believe!

I have to agree with both of you and say that Best Western is possibly the least meaningful hotel brand out there. I've stayed in a couple fantastic ones, and a couple more absolutely awful ones, bad enough to put a damper on the trip. Unlike other chains e.g. Holiday Inn where they are either purpose built or converted to be more or less the same, Best Westerns seem to be a complete mixed bag, as if they put their name on anything. I wouldn't avoid them, I just ignore the name and research the hotel itself, rather than just thinking "oh it's (chain name), it'll be fine".

Stayed in a 'best' western in leamington. Awful, terrible and disgusting. Wife was 6 months pregnant and didn't want to travel back from my sisters late at night. So we booked to stay there. The room was vile and dirty. When we complained they found us a room that looked like it had been shut up and was hastily made up for us. No apology or offer of recompense. The breakfast was nice though. On return home we sent a complaint but never got a reply from the hotel or the head office. Never ever again

I've had the opposite experience. When booking hotels for work, which is usually four nights a week at about £35 a night, Best Westerns always seem to be the most grand, cleanest, well run places.

On the edge of North Wessex Downs (AONB) and less than an hour away from Stonehenge. Looks like I know what I'm doing that weekend. I've booked and got confirmation for the Sunday night for £5. Thank you.

It isn't, read the postcode as Rugby! Clearly should not post deals whilst drinking alcohol.
