This is issue 1 of the D'Agestino 'Beatles Collection' on vinyl - The first issue is (IMO) The Beatles best album 'Abbey Road' on 180gm vinyl
The vinyl also comes with a massive poster featuring all of the Beatles Album covers, a booklet and a foldout box to keep all of the future vinyl releases (This is part 1 of 23 and the usual RRP is £16.99)
I picked this up in ASDA but probably will be stocked by other newsagents/supermarkets

£24:99 isn't a bad price for each of the triple albums like the two Live At The BBC sets and the three Anthology albums.

Does anyone have a list of the 23 vinyls that are being released? Is it worth buying the mono or stereo boxsets you can pick up for around £300 that were released a few years ago by Apple?
Totally confused.

The list has been posted earlier in the thread, but to answer your question, if all you want is their original studio albums, you'd be better off picking up the stereo box if you can pick it up for a reasonable price. If you want the 'extras' - the Red and Blue albums, the Anthology series, 1, Love, Live at the BBC 1&2 - then this is a pretty good way to do it and will work out cheaper than picking up all the extra discs individually. Some strange omissions though - no Live at the Hollywood Bowl or Let It Be (Naked).

RRP shoots up to £24.99 for double/triple albums.

To be fair, the £24.99 price for the doubles is pretty much standard. For the triple albums - particularly the Past Masters and Live at the BBC sets - it's a steal as you're unlikely to pick these up for under £40 new.

As always with these D'Agestino collections, first issue has a reduced RRP in this case £9.99 and as that is the price set by the manufacturer and is indeed the price you pay then clearly this is NOT a deal but more of a "heads up"
Seems to happen a lot with the Nintendo mini whenever stock is found despite the fact it is at full retail price (49.99)

I disagree in this case as to buy abbey road on vinyl would usually be more than this (£17.99 at hmv); so it is a good deal.
Just for the avoidance of doubt, "Revolver" is their best album.

Abbey Road for me, followed by White album and then Revolver

For people that like to own physical things, rather than invisible MP3. But I've never been convinced of the audio quality. They're only as good as the original tape the producer mixed surely..?

£9.99 is a good price for Abbey Road, I'll probably pick this up to fill a gap in my collection. Will be giving the rest of them a miss though, can generally be picked up for the same price (or less) in HMV etc. And if i'm paying that for an album I'd rather buy it over the counter where I can see the sleeve is in perfect condition etc.

its rrp for the 1st issue.... I'll give it heat for the price of the actual vinyl as its 180g pressing.... otherwise its a nothing deal
