£2 cheaper than the deal posted a month ago. Activates on Steam.
"Battlefleet Gothic: Armada is the RTS videogame adaptation of Games Workshop’s classic tabletop game, pitting the Chaos, Imperium, Eldar, and Orks against each other in visceral space-battles. Developed with Unreal Engine 4, Battlefleet Gothic: Armada offers deep management of every ship composing the player’s fleet, both during and between battles. From the fastest frigates to the gigantic, miles-long battleships, the player will customize all aspects of his ships: weaponry, defense and support sub-systems, but also crew, captains, and more..."
Decent reviews on Metacritic.

One of the best 40k video games ever
Punches way above its weight but be aware its not 'huge'
Technically has more battlefleet gothic content than GW ever gave us ... !

I've been curious about this one for a while so this is cheap enough to give a go.

I'm maybe not suggesting great alternatives but what I'm saying is that it wasn't great for me , it wasn't easy to get into or interested in. it didn't ever seem to be a big hit any time I looked up steam charts.

None of those are even slightly similar to Battlefleet Gothic. This is an RTS, Blackwake is a Cooperative FPS, World of Warships is a third-person action game. Nothing similar at all beyond "there is some form of a ship in the game", and it's not even the same type of ships anyway.

ships fighting against each other. maybe world of warships would be a closer comparison, bigger
online community. I think I've just been disappointed by gw video games full stop, but it's pretty hard for a video game to compete with my imagination to be fair

I was a bit disappointed with this, more the production value of the narrative around it. Found blackwake to be a better alternative, tho it's obviously not gw. I think I expect too much from gw games. not a big online pop either, but it's down to a great price

How is blackwake even slightly comparable to this, both in terms of setting/theme and gameplay? They have no similarities at all.
