I tried one, then did some research, which made me feel bad as got the feeling I was helping someone rip off someone's credit card :disappointed: .... so didnt buy any more....
BTW anyone interested in a good book, try Stephen Fry's Sherlock Holmes , almost 72 hours worth and very good
My 3 month membership at £1.99 a month just ended but can't see this deal for me. :disappointed:

"The Prime 3-month offer is available to new customers, but it looks like you've already given Audible a try. If you think we've made a mistake, please contact us."
I signed up for a trial last year (well kids did), but I cancelled within an hour so might see if they'll let me have this. Quite enjoy the free audio books I have with the echo.
I tend to just read books, never tried an audio book, I'm tempted to give it a go out of curiosity! Cheers op

God I love amazon. Gave the 3 month trial.
So I can now just choose any 3 books to keep?
Cheers OP.

^^what he said
i've gone through x10 audiobooks this year on the daily commute. Reddit has been a big influence on me & audiobooks - audible always gets a mention but don't forget your local library too.

Theres room on the broom, I know as that was one I had for free around xmas time. Will take a look later and see what else there is. Not in to fiction which rules out about 90% of the books anyway.
sadly, I got the same message. I have enough audio books to last me for few months till the we miss you
offer. You can buy 1 credit audible from ebay for £2. No no way I'm paying the full price.

I've seen this also, not sure how they do it, though have seen suggestions that the credits are bought with stolen credit cards, but no confirmations..
If anyone has any idea how they sell the credits so cheap, I'd like to know
"
To ensure the fastest receipt of your download codes, message me immediately upon purchase with the audible link to the book that you would like to own. If you send me 25 links, I'll send you 25 books. If you send me one link, I'll send you that book plus the other 24 credits as just a credits."
Anyone here actually done that?

I purchased from a US Authorised dealer and made 3 purchases over the year and
no problems. Instant code redemption. His price has slowly gone up as first one was for £1.50 and now £2.
First I'm hearing about stolen credit cards etc..

I did. I'm not too sure anymore. Wont be buying anymore from ebay, Too risky. If you account gets suspended,
you lose all your audiobooks. So not worth it especially as I get offers to come back
Yes I seen this page also, seems about the only one that sounds legit, however I have my doubts about how it works, I'm staying away from these credits until I'm more confident in how they're obtained.

if anyone gets the message "The Prime 3-month offer is available to new customers, but it looks like you've already given Audible a try. If you think we've made a mistake, please contact us." ..i phoned them and they added the offer to my account 90 days free trial..my account has only been inactive for less than a month thanks

Same here, I contacted them via chat and apparently I was eligible and was mistakenly not given the trial option. However I think this might be due to when Audible was it's sole own company I previously had an account. Either way they've honoured it, given me the 90 days and even given me a couple of book recommendations.
Thanks OP.

I'm struggling to see how audible works? I assumed it was like music streaming, you paid a monthly fee and could listen to as much as you want.
But as I am reading it you pay 7.99 a month and can only listen to one a month. Is that right?
So i want a book that's let say 4.99 but I actually pay 7.99 for it?
I'm either confused or it's a stupid system?

They are audio versions of the book and they usually cost a lot more than £7.99, you get one credit per month and that usually entitles you to one free book, this is usually downloaded (not streamed) to your device, so you can listen to it offline also.

I have been a member for a number of years and find it a brilliant service!
Most audiobooks cost considerably more than £7.99. Typically they tend to be around £15-£30. If a book is cheaper to buy, then buy it and save your credit. I think you will find such books are in the minority though.
I find that the daily deals are the best way to get books and they are as cheap as it gets - typically £1.99. If you wait long enough, you will find one of interest to you and don't assume that they are all junk just because they are on the deal! My subscription is up soon and I may soon cancel and just stick to the daily deals, assuming I can.
One thing that is new with audible, is that they will be offering channels to subscribers. These are Podcasts on a range of topics and it looks really good. Apparently I am one of the top customers and I was chosen to trial it for them. Trouble is, I have so many daily deals to get through it I don't have time for any more listening material.

Well that kind of confirms it!
I pay 8 quid a month to subscribe then pay 5 quid for for each kids book for my son and buy one book a month I don't actually want because it's expensive.
So what's the difference of not paying each month, still paying for the 5 quid kids books and if I ever want a book that's more than £7.99 joining, getting the book and then cancelling.
As far as I can see, no difference at all.
I am on an annual subscription and when you have used your 12 credits, you can buy three more at a time for just over £4 each.
I don't know how you will go on if you keep joining and cancelling. I guess they are wise to such things, but I don't know for sure.
