That's the thing with overclockers. They bait you in with their prices and then slap expensive delivery on top. No other computer sales website has such expensive delivery.

To be fair they have a shop, so if you don't live too far you could collect it.

good price for this card but apparently a very noisy fan whilst gaming . MSI and Sapphire are too expensive so i am going to will wait an see what happens when rx580 widely reach the stores (not an upgrade really but should cause the older cards to drop in price prior them disappearing from the market)
I know, time machine and all that but does say 'prices still going down' in the description which is not quite right. Also 4GB version has been available for £50 less and I really don't think the few % performance justifies that sort of gap in price.

Heat from me. Been looking for a good deal on an 8GB 480 for some time and even with the annoyingly high delivery this one tipped me over the edge. Looking forward to swapping out my 6950 as that was starting to struggle..

AMD Radeon rx 580 and rx 570 could lunch on April 18 so it's worth to wait coz prices for rx 480 may go down.

True definitley worth waiting until launch but it will reach a point where it's only clearance stock as the RX5xx will replace them so don't leave it too long or you might miss out

word of warning...
stay away from this card. i bought one 2 weeks ago and it is crashing after 5-7 min of game play. I googled about the problem and it seems I am not the only one. its a very common problem and has affected my users. google "rx 480 crashing" and read the user's comments..

If you Google anything followed by "crashing" I wouldn't be at all surprised to find comments about aforementioned thing crashing.

Yes 4 GB is the best option right now but only if you play fullHD and planning an upgrade within the next 12 months on the other hand if you plan to keep the card for about 2 years 8 GB model is the better choice and you can sell it much easier.

Haha it took me *years* to get free delivery and I've only used it couple of times...
Oh just remembered, it used to be fewer comments (100? Something like that)...

Very noble of you to do it properly
I got there with lots of very unhelpful short replies
Yeah I think it's only 100 comments if you've been a forum member for more than a year

Increase power limit to +50% in driver settings, solves power throttling issues.

Did you do this based on any info? Have sent my first one back trying to decide if a replacement would be a waste of time if I end up with the same issue.

Got the 4gb version along with the g4560 chip and very happy but with Doom i cant cap the frame rate in vulkan mode so you get screen tearing :disappointed:
Vsync made the game far too laggy and open gl mode while capped at 74fps to allow freesync to work has crashed a fair few times while other games have been fine...Might be just me as I'm new to pc gaming.

So when did you start working for Overclockers? Recently or a while ago?
Anecdotally, pretty much all sites are very efficient with delivery when you pay extra. Also some sites free delivery is flawless, not to mention Amazon Prime, Prime Now, etc

Based on experience with previous AMD cards including the RX 480, the 480 is capped at around 150W to meet their marketing specs, if you increase the power limit the card can pull more than 150W in certain conditions.
With the power limit at default 0% the card can throttle/stutter/BSOD if the GPU hits the max TDP specified in the card BIOS, without being able to pull additional power to the GPU above 150W, FPS hits a ceiling even if you continue to increase the GPU clocks.
The fact that the GTX 1070 is rated @150W and the GTX 1080 at only 180W gives you an idea of just how far behind AMD is compared to nVidia with their performance/power efficiency.
I've built a rig with a Sapphire RX 480 Nitro (factory overclocked), the card crashes in BF1 at times (hard system reset), increasing the power limit all the way to the max solved that issue.
I like the RX 480 despite the high power draw relative to performance, I'd just to get a full refund if possible, then buy a card from a different brand or possible a cheap GTX 1060 instead.
