One normally would not expect beef on an Indian menu.
But lamb......yes please. Fed up with all these boxed meals serving chicken only dishes.
I'd sooner have 1 lamb and one vegetable dish than 2 chicken if it's about the cost. Or charge a little extra.

Beef curry - that'll go down well amongst Indian Hindus!

Dare I say it, yes I do. You have been a member since 2013 but haven't submitted a single deal.
Hot air and opinions bring nothing to my table and save me jack all. Post an alternative deal that comfortably feeds two or better still any deal from anywhere that includes lamb and beef curries for 2 for £2
Way too much sneer and whine available from people who contribute nothing to this site

Good deal Johnny - hot!

Curry for people who don't like curry. Rubbish

8 Mar 171#15
To my horror Mrs topazz brought one home for the first time this week and i was surprised how tasty it all was. Not in the same league as my home made curries made using original spices but both the asda curries were equal to several Indian restaurants I've eaten at in the past. Convenient and much better than I was expecting for £4.

Equal to Indian restaurants?

perhaps there is a gap in the market and there is room to make products like this using beef, pork or lamb instead!

Got one reduced to £3.04 (dated yesterday, bought yesterday) and we ate it yesterday, it was rather nice, but really would never pay £6 for it. And as for beef on an Indian menu, have you forgotten that they regard cows as sacred?

We get these every few weeks as a treat, good value at £6 so £4 for 2 indian curries is spot on. Tried a hot vindaloo from Iceland for £1.50, cracking ruby but not as hot as people say. No rice or nan bread with Icelands ones.
Have some well deserved heat from me OP

Used to have Asda curries regular until a few years ago they changed the recipe and the chicken in them is now awful. Slimy gristly chewy bits. No thanks

Yeah, they used to be quite nice until they fired off the original supplier. I used to deliberately do my shopping at Asda so I could grab some.
The new recipes are gross. The chicken just taste wrong and it makes me literally gag.
Sadly the old supplier decided to close up shop with everyone losing their jobs. Such a shame, their curries were closer than any supermarket has got to replicating takeaway style taste at home.
Good price but dont expect it to be tasteful. The curry counter always used to be decent a few years ago!

I completely agree! A while ago I used to shop at Asda regularly mainly for their great curries and would pick up other bits too. I don't go to Asda any more now.
Heat for the effort though OP.
The same thing happened with Tesco curries a few months ago, anyone knows what happened? Their Tandoori masala with bombay potatoes used to be the best thing they ever had!

Better than one or two i've eaten at over the years. I don't rate the majority if indian/bangladeshi restaurants highly at all TBH. Average tends to be a few spices added to an oily tasteless base stew.
Opening post
