Xbox Austria leaked April's Games with Gold on their Facebook page. The Facebook page is verified so it definitely looks real.

Ryse, Darksiders, The Walking Dead: Season 2 and Assassin's Creed: Revelations

Personally I think that's a cracking month.... in terms of quality... but...

a terrible month for me.. I own 2 and own a third in the AC collection - so its just darksiders.... although I can now sell the disk version of Ryse I guess.... I wont but I could... shame it is another BC game that's been remastered and not completely new ones...

AC 3 would have been nice...

Decent month imo already own ryse legendary edition digitally (another one unstarted) but the 3 remaining are decent offerings

Good that Ryse is on there, always wanted to try that and having more AC is great aswell! Could of been the remastered version of Darksiders though...

joanddan7 to johnwillowlfc
23 Mar 17 1 #8
I am tempted to do the same but apart from it saying it on the case its no longer legendary... unless you didn't use the codes? wasn't it one of the annoying GOTY type editions where it was not on the disc?

Will this be the legendary edition of Ryse?
I've checked the store on the Xbox app and it doesn't show a price for the standard edition so it looks like that's not available digitally.

Hah, I just completed and returned Ryse (made more than I paid for it!). Really good game, but don't see myself going back to it. It was only a matter of time for TWD: Season 2 as well - glad I held off. Happy to go through it on Xbox One instead and grab another 1,000G!

23 Mar 17 #22
An excellent selection here, despite already owning each of them on at least one other platform! I've yet to play through Ryse, and having it available on Xbox One may well be more of an incentive to get around to it than the Steam version.

Excuse me Gentlemen (& Ladies)(&Lady Gentlemen), but in my humble opinion, this is not a deal. Neither are the PS+ posts. They offer valuable information but they are not deals. They are games you get by subscribing to a service of which there is no competition. In reality it appears they receive heat based on whether you like the games being offered. Or, you are bum licking. :man:
SVRich to JumpMan1980

Drewy to JumpMan1980
23 Mar 17 1 #39
They are free though. You can talk about paying for a subscription all you want but the fact is, I was paying the same price for my Gold membership years before this extra service came along, we never received any free games. It wasn't until PS offered games with their plus accounts, that Microsoft decided to do free games. These games were never part of the original service and payment for Gold, these are extra and therefore free.

joanddan7
23 Mar 17 #36
I paid £14 in the last few months and thought I got a deal!!

I honestly cant remember if the codes are on disk or not... ill check when I get home, if they are on disk... might be worth pop it in before trading and getting the extra content.. I know it all downloaded separately because it was about 15 separate packs!

Seems like a good month (despite playing 3/4 games, played/complete ryse, I have TWD season 2 on steam (not my favourite) and I have AC revelations (the collectors edition, I think), at least I now know it'll be becoming BC soon
joanddan7
23 Mar 17 #38
I think people just get excited - if they subscribe - this is like a brucie bonus... I know I always find out about the games here before anywhere else... both plus and GWG and I give heat as thanks for the info.. that maybe the wrong was to vote on this site but to be honest I don't take the heat thing that seriously... a deal has had over -100 before and I have bought it coz it was the cheapest at the time and I wanted it...

Yes they are advertised on the dashboard but then so are all the digital game deals that get posted here a lot, I don't really see a difference.
Marcoos
23 Mar 17 3 #44
Agree with your sentiment here, if even one person benefits from a posted deal, then it was worth posting.

Some people get so wound up about getting heat and validation for their deals. I could kinda understand if they was on some sort of incentive, if you got paid or free stuff for posting and were set targets, but if you're not, what's the issue, it's just a number on a screen and a load of comments from faceless strangers on the internet. Really not worth getting wound up about.

Granted there can be some **** house tactics going on at times, but hey that just goes back to the whole desperation for heat and validation.

I quite enjoyed Ryse... Made a nice break from the seemingly endless open world games that were out at the time I played it.

Revelations was the weakest part of the Ezio trilogy imo, couldn't bring myself to finish it.
Darksiders is ace, but I'd prefer the warmastered edition (already have that on PC, so I'll just play that instead if i want to replay)
TWD - great season, but I've got enough of a backlog of TT games to not want to replay this...

So yeah, full house of games that I've already played this month :disappointed:

I haven't bought an XB1 yet (I just have the 360 back home), but I have a considerable collection of XBL Gold rentals saved up for when I do buy one.
For those like me without access to a console, these posts are very handy. I can decide whether to subscribe for a month or skip.
DannGo
23 Mar 17 #55
You've just explained why these games should not be considered free. They added them to compete with PSPlus, to make their package more appealing in order to have more customers subscribe and therefore make more money. These are not free. Free would be....no subscription required.

I only sign up to PSPlus for the free monthly games. I don't play online, although the option is nice.

Good to hear, I got it on Steam awhile back but I was having some major crashing issues so never got anywhere with it. Like my whole computer locking up trying to do that tutorial sequence. Seemed a common issue with certain AMD cards sadly. Wonder if they ever fixed that in driver updates... Definitely will be one of the few GWG I play as of late.

Looks like it was Darksiders 2 back in October 14'

From 9/10 on one to 4/10 on another, I thought usually they were much of a muchness.

Maverick_TF
23 Mar 17 1 #78
it makes me laugh when people say "but this game isn't backwards compatible though"

it was announced a while ago when BC first started that moving forward ANY game on games with gold for the 360 would be BC once the date hits for that game... regardless of if they are on the list or not!

Personally think its a great month, although I already own Ryse and TWD along with the Warmastered edition of Darksiders, will grab both 360 games anyway just so they are there if they ever take my fancy, although I think I got 1000g on ACR

BUT and this is a BIG one - some deals that are posted that never get anywhere near 100 degrees and are therefore not seen by many but may as you suggest have benefited one person and are therefore worthwhile. You suggest the degree system is to be taken with a pinch of salt but is not the reality of how this site operates.. :man:

23 Mar 17 1 #90
This site is massively flawed, in fact pretty much every voting system used today is flawed and has issues, the price of democracy is that unfortunately voting systems do not cover all the bases.

From looking at deals when I come on here it would seem that gamers (that evil misunderstood breed that walk among us in plain site... the guy on the bus, the lady in the queue at boots...the bank manger they could all be games and we would never know their evil...) seem to be in the majority here, or at least the voting majority... I know some of the deals I am interested in get zero heat or lost in the mix of the more popular deals voted hot by the majority... *** shakes fist at democracy***
JumpMan1980

SVRich
23 Mar 17 #93
Not sure that is relevant, you don't have to be in that situation to agree with it, I'm not and I wrote it.

This deal going hot doesn't take heat away from others, people don't have a limited number of votes. Fact is the heat system isn't the best at times, I have seen deals that aren't available go hot and good deals get ignored.
JumpMan1980
23 Mar 17 #94
I was suggesting an argument needs more grounding then the hypothetical. To go back to my original comment, I was merely using this deal as a soapbox platform but what I said also applies to the deals you mention - ones that aren't available going hot (Sainsbury's!) and good deals getting ignored. I take hot or cold on the chin but this belongs in an info section.
joanddan7

My tongue was firmly in my cheek so Im glad you took it the way it was intended mate... I've paid for sub since i got my 360, there was nothing free apart from some small arcade type game. At no point did Microsoft have to give us anything on top but as competition is best for consumers it drives new ideas and cheaper prices . The price of my sub has never gone up, every game they give to me for free for the 360 is mine to keep forever even if i stop paying for sub. For the xbox one tho, its more a rental as long as i keep paying my sub but had no games been given, id still be paying for a sub anyway so these will always be free as far as im concerned
JumpMan1980
23 Mar 17 #113
Out of courtesy I read your entire comment but think it fair to say I could have stopped after "I've paid for sub since I got my 360" - if you pay for something, it's not free. Whether you keep it or not is irrelevant. Whether you tell yourself they are free is irrelevant. They are part of a service you choose to pay for. Perks which, if you cancel, are automatically removed. Do you subscribe to SKY sports? Are all the other bundled channels free?
Besides, I was not criticising GWG or PS+ (I pay for ps+ year after year just to play online - rarely having any interest in any of the free games) - I was criticising hukd for posting this under deals as it is not a deal, it is simply this months games offered with a paid subscription. When someone posts xbox online or ps+ for a great price - that is a deal. The price is the deal, not the games you get offered with it. Who pays for this on a month by month basis depending on whether they want this months games or not? Anyone? Seeing as you would lose access to any games by cancelling, nobody i think.
I knew this would be a bowl of contention ... :man:

do people still play xbox haha jesus get a PS4 already soooo much better

24 Mar 17 3 #137
I have both an xbox one and a ps4, I prefer Xbox myself, just because you prefer PS4 doesn't mean everybody else thinks the same, also why bother looking at an xbox thread if you are not interested other than to troll
DrBunker

Why reply to him? Do you think he wants a) an intellectual discussion around the benefits of each platform or b) to rile ppl up and generate a negative reaction to garner attention?

Let his comment (and viewpoint) die in a vacuum - that's the (lack of) reaction that's most likely to annoy him.

Wow that is a great line up. Only have the walking dead. Brilliant value again for something that only costs £30 a year..

There is no intellectual discussion to be had, The ps4 currently has the more powerful hardware, A ton of amazing exclusive's and more still to be released and of the option of Vr.
I don't see what Microsoft are offering anyone apart from perhaps slighty better "free" games with games with gold.
The xbox in terms of a video games console is far less superior in almost every sense when used for actually playing games.
I know the Scorpio will be released this later thus year but with the lack of exclusives there would be little reason for anyone who own a PS4 to consider buying one unlike xbox players switching to PlayStation which i know a few.
Also it will be a full year behind the release of the pro so Sony could theoretically release a PS5 at the end of 2019 beginning of 2020 and that wouldn't be a big deal to people who have bought the pro but if you have bought the Scorpio for I'm guessing £400 plus releasing a new system 2 years later is out of the question.

I maybes should have proof read what I had typed I know there's quite a few mistakes but just to add I'd take what Sony is offering with some really amazing sales on the store every fortnight to buy games I actually want to play cheap over being giving a couple of free games of their choosing a month not to mention the fact I can also purchase psn credit from eBay a lot cheaper than you can with the xbox which doesn't allow you the option of doing this, I normally watch ebay and get say £35 store for £25 which on top of all the sales they have is a massive saving on digital games.

Who cares which is better, they both have their strong points. Im xbox and I know the ps4 is superior for hardware etc but I like the xbox exclusives and online play is brilliant. Microsoft shot themselves in the foot with their "vision" of the future which was ridiculous and will never catch up this generation. I was close to switching to PS4 until microsoft backtracked on their stupid plans but I stuck with them and Im glad I did.

Sadly, when it comes to consoles, *a lot* of people tend to care that their chosen platform is superior. :disappointed:

Given that video gamers probably get laid much less frequently than other fully-functioning members of the species, I would expect player ratings of games to be much lower than these sites would suggest. Guys, are we being straight with each other?

25 Mar 17 #149
**** xbox fan boys were the worst last generation but they have all gone quite now and try to take the moral high ground saying who cares but we all know the truth and I am a bit of a Sony fan boy but I've had Sony consoles from being little and have a lot of fond memories & nostalgia for PlayStation but it's just like supporting a footy team it's just a bit of banter between us its just at the moment PlayStation's top of the premier league and xbox is in a relegation fight with none of there top strikers delivering and for the person who said about video gamers don't get enough sex its a load of **** gone are the days of only nerdywerlds playing games, i'm probablys the 3rd best looking person on the Internet and still do a load of gaming.

Have £1 for 1 month of gold just appear on my dash, after it ran out a month ago. Never really bothered about most of the free games but would like Walking Dead S2...not sure I can complete it so quickly but tempted to return to gold anyway simply for Gears 4 multiplayer.
