Any published info how long this will be supported by apple in terms of new IOS?

Not yet, but I can imagine it coming to end of support soon. My iPad Air 2 is feeling sluggish on iOS 10 and it has 1GB more RAM than this model. Given I only paid £310 for the Air 2 two years ago, this ain't so great imo

Have an iPad mini 2 as well. Is it just an upgrade in size cause it has the same chip?

I think it is (apparently whilst screen res is the same it is a bit brighter )but ours is a 16GB so extra memory will help.

This isn't a deal as such. Just a way to buy something over a longer period without incurring any interest. This is just a ploy by Apple to get more of their overpriced goods sold.

It's a 'side grade' - other than a bigger display (which is also better colour reproduction and contrast), there's no hardware difference and it would depend on whether you want a bigger display or not - I know many people who prefer the mini iPad.
Of course they are, people will buy it just because it's Apple.

It's poorly described too as nowhere on the page does it state the last version of IOS it'll support. I'm assuming it's already out of date for IOS 10.

I'm using one now and it's struggling to even render many web pages nowadays.
