Another vote for this. Great little speaker.
Why people keep saying about the turn on and off noise is beyond me (from when I posted this previously and amazon reviews) it's 4 boingy notes. Just can't see how people can be that irritated by such a brief noise?

Got one of these linked to my Echo Dot. Great speaker, rich base and good volume. Stays turned on if you plug into the mains (a lot of these portable speakers shutdown if not used for 30mins or so, this one stays live as long as their is a device connected via bluetooth)

Sent mine back last time it was on lightning deal as makes a stupid loud noise when you turn it on and off... wasnt particularly impressed by the sound quality either... looks nice though and good weight but not for me.

great quality got one of these for the one of the kids for Christmas and most people cant tell the difference between it and the bose soundlink. Anker makes good quality speakers, even their smallest normally around £9 is excellent quality.

Hello peeps.. I'm not sure whether to go for this Anker BT speaker or go for the previous model as the battery life is 24hrs compared to this ones 6hrs. If anyone has both speakers, could you please let me know your thoughts and the newer model is better because of the dual ten watt speakers.. Would appreciate your opinion. Graciãs

does this device have a built-in microphone? The reason I ask is that I would like to use it at home for hands-free mobilephone calls

one thing that annoys me with bluetooth speakers is why do none come with buttons for skip forward/back? always have to long press the volume.

It's showing as £39.99 for me. Only £4 off RRP. And I've checked that's sold by Anker.

This site is so inconsistent. I posted a deal the other day and it went freezing because it'd been cheaper in the past.
This speaker has cost less in the past, so why is it a "hot" deal, if that's the way people look at it?

I've got this, and at low volumes there's terrible interference. Not sure if it's the speaker or my phone, but not had any similar problems with other Bluetooth speakers.

Possibly a fault if you're within a return period?? No issues with ours at all

At 39.99 it's still cheap! I've had mine well over a year now and take it with me on holiday as well as using it around the house. For it's size it packs a really powerful punch with bass reproduction you'd expect from something several times the size. The mid and high ends need a bit of tinkering around so if your smartphone etc has an equaliser it might be worthwhile setting it up just right first.
The battery life is at the low end of the market, however I can understand why the battery drain might be moreso on this (due to the 20W active amplifier).
Here's a link to an independent review of the speaker and it comes very strongly to the comparable Bose.

I bought mine off the strength of it and am happy to report I'm still really pleased I got it over something several times more expensive.
