Halal also offends me. People are entitled to live their lives anyway they want. However, At the point where I am forced to eat an animal which has been hung upsidedown at slit at the throat until it bleeds out, The line has been overstepped. 90% of our chicken and 70% of our pork is halal nowadays AND THEY DONT EVEN HAVE TO SAY ON THE PACKAGING...

Surely everyone knows that most people object to halal because of the inhumane way the animal is slaughtered under this system, rather than Islam as a whole?

Always find it a hoot when you go to one near the coast on a hot summer's weekend and it's filled with families with more kids than adults, and one of the parents are always moaning loudly about how the service is crap because they had to wait 2 minutes for more bacon to be brought out.

Had this today. Sausages and bacon are always well cooked, as are the eggs, rather than that mushy rubbish you get in some places. Coffee tasted ok too. The novelty has passed though, so suspect it will be a while before I think of doing it again.

I'm interested now, what exactly offends you?
Animals used to produce Halal meat are more often than not slaughtered in exactly the same way as non-Halal meat - i.e stunned before they are killed, so for all intents and purposes, you're offended because it's a Muslim holding the blade instead of an atheist, say, or a Christian?

This is a great price! We live next door to a Brewers Fayre £8.99 per adult but 2 children eat free with every adult. Perfect for single parent families. Includes cooked breakfast, cereals, dried fruit, croissants, pancakes, cakes, yoghurt, fruit, toast plus all hot drinks and fruit
Juice. Some may think quality is poor but fab for an early morning start before a roadtrip.

They do mushrooms! They put way too much pepper on them but they do Mushrooms. I think its great value even at its regular price. The cheesy bacon, onion potato hash thing is lovely (and replaces the Hash browns for me... though I would like the option) and they always do fresh eggs for us when we go in because its never that busy (Formby in Merseyside). It does me nicely... don't really care if anyone else is snobby about it.. Its beans sausages bacon scrambles and other stuff (no I don't know what breakfast gravy is either) so there's little to be all 'Foodie' about really. They probably do a cracking Muesli if you believe that a fry up is the gate to hell.

Toby Carvery breakfast is already a great value I think. The sausages seem to be good quality and the cheesy potatoes are good. Plus there is something nice about having a yorkshire pud with breakfast. I don't know of many places you can get full cooked breakfast, with toast for under a fiver. The only part that seemed expensive was the coffee, even though its unlimited £2 seems a little high.

The quality of the food isn't that great and tea/coffee is £2.09 extra . find a local place with fresh cooked food and a cuppa and it will coat less and you will still be full up
