I was in my local Lidl (Willerby Hull) last week and they had 5kg sacks of onions for £2
I was going to post that as a deal then went back this week and they now have one of those "Cheaper 10% off now £1.80" signs on them.
I know these sacks are generally available at Farmfoods for £2

Got them yesterday for 1.60 in Edinburgh. Great value as we go through tons of onions. Keeping them in my hallway as it's so flippin cold in there just now( 2 degrees today here) they'll keep for weeks

Need to take silver spoon out of the mouth. Its a myth when they say peeling/cutting a onion with a spoon in your mouth will stop the tears(_;)

They were 29p per kilo recently, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were at that price soon again.
