you got it spot on. when shpock first started I did ok even though I'm not comfortable people calling at my house. think I sold about 75 items but since the TV add nothing just idiots thinking they are doing you a favour offering you less than half of your asking price. I have stuff on there and still add stuff but only because it's free or wouldn't bother

A couple of hours to go before midnight, when the promo will start - still time for someone to complain it doesn't work (because they didn't read the start date)........ then after midnight we'll get the usual questions about ''does it have to sell before the promo ends i.e. within 2 days''.
Thanks for posting anyway, always useful to get advance warning........ saves me staying up late to find out !

high valued stuff sell better on ebay imo, prices under £200 or massive stuff sell better on local sites.

Starts tomorrow
In all seriousness, the £1 max fee promotions last ran from Sundays (Jan 15th and Feb 12th). I guess if there's one for March then possibly it would start on Sunday 12th or 19th.

Shocking. If 200 is good price, why would the person think you will accept 130.

if you ever have bits on and a better fees offer pops up just end and relist but make sure you accept the offer first. this assuming your items are buy now.

Yeah, Gumtree is full of them! I advertise a lot of stuff on there and politely put that I won't accept offers, it's cash on collection and I'll only converse through email, and I get everyone wanting my number, offering me under half what I list them at and telling me they'll buy it if I drop the price and ship it to them! But if you can handle to idiots, then you'll eventually sell your stuff.
I've taken to wasting the time wasters time (when I get someone who's really rude) now and playing them at their own game! If they want to "do me a favour" by offering to take it off my hands for next to nothing, then I'm happy to get their number and address and arrange to meet. But wait, something came up last minute. Maybe tomorrow?

Some people, myself included never get the offer emailed to them or in their inbox. Clicking the direct link to the offer seems to work though.

Yup - well trained in that... but to avoid FVF on cancelling a listing I just put the price up by £1000 and change the title then relist lol.

Followed advice by the porter and offer was there as said scroll down. Thanks! As you said I never get emailed the offer either. Usually there is a link to these offers on here and I have always clicked on those to accept. Link for help on Ebay page is here: http://sellercentre.ebay.co.uk/private/fees-promotions
