You know the last time a few years ago I called EE and it was also offshore so was stunned when I called those times and it wasn't. So I'm really glad *knock on wood* I stuck to EE. Though their billing is still weird I was charged £20 not £19.99 I think they just round up to the nearest penny.

Glad you got there in the end and also picked up the billing error ! EE customer service has really impressed me so far , they have been really quick /easy to contact on both web chat and phone, especially like the fact has UK / Irish call centres. On 3 previously and absolute nightmare customer service / off-shored.

This just happened to me , ee told me to call cpw , on hold with them. If you hadn't posted this i would probably not have checked this and then would be surprised by the bill.

Just to add to this, EE support was really good second time, CPW is a waste of my time, and to add to injury the £100 gift card I tried to use it today I find out it had £0 balance, they forgot to add money to it, now I have to wait 3-5 days before I receive this on the card. A bit late for my use what I needed to purchase.

Had to ring up EE to sort out my getting my online account set-up and whilst on call and testing getting into account i noticed that my plan was stating £34.99, I had read earlier somewhere that this was normal ..(and discount came off automatically) but still queried it , EE advisor said that bloke in shop had NOT applied the discount !!! He asked me to send him contract which showed the discounted amount of £19.99 and sorted it out instantly :smiley: Am very impressed with EE customer service , but please be aware that only way you can be sure of getting the discount is if you see something like below which will show the recurring £10+£5 discount, which I now have . Hope this helps others who may not realise / hadn't had proper set-up done by Carphone initially:

I did and received second email stating that it had been dispatched, still saying that it was supposed to be in store to collect yesterday! But didn't receive 3rd text to pick it up ! For those that recieved an email or call informing you that you could not get the deal (credit check etc), would someone be willing to share the email address and subject line / phone number they called from - so i can search for it in my mailbox (overrun with spam) or call history.

Same I'm not at max level but I'm 400/700 I phoned up EE and they said that shouldn't get declined as that's relatively decent rating really confused now and annoyed he said I can re run the credit check but the deals now gone and it would be £22.50 without the voucher and also with 12 month BT sport instead of 3

Apparently so. I got this deal before it was posted so I got my currys gift card a while back I've just put off inserting the sim until I could transfer my number to another network and then back to EE with this sim so I could keep the same number

And they won't send sim first without gift, which i thought was a bit stupid, if i was in your situation i would reach out to CPW, just make sure you get through CS not sales, they will waste 10 minutes of your time trying to get you to upgrade to another contract. I was told it would come 1-2 weeks now.

We were going to a festival. My phone was to act as the hotspot - and I was promised this sim would be delivered next day. It was very clear upon ordering.

I let alot of people down because CPW has let me down.

14 days is from when you receive this, also it is out of stock, not the SIM but the £100 gift card. That is why it has been delayed.

Ordered on friday. No contact of any form or type, other than order confirmation (immediately after ordering). Sim was supposed to arrive on Sat - no joy.

How long did it take to arrive from ordering the SIM? I had a call today with CPW and they told me the £100 is out of stock, so they not delivering me my SIM until that comes back in stock, I'm ok with that for the time being as I still got a month with Virgin Mobile.

BTW they do know it is £100 gift card because in all the call they confirm this before we start conversation after security questions.

Hey Adam I done the exact same thing I looked for the sim only deals and couldn't find the £100 but this link is legit and I received my sim with £100 currys voucher last week. The giftcard came in the bag but weirdly no receipt with the amount of credit but the card says £100 and you can check the balance online or go in the store.

That was another decider for me too, ability to use the phone when in France etc with inclusive data allowance (500mb + decent options for more if needed) + can use your inclusive call / text allowance

I went from the virgin £15 to this deal, mainly because I travel a bit and making calls with virgin is more expensive than EE, so for that reason I don't mind paying extra £5. I also want too purchase the new S8+ so I could use that £100 voucher. :smiley: But right now I've got no idea if I'm getting this SIM or not. I also don't know when this voucher arrives some said on collection from store others said 30 days. CS wasn't that helpful on the phone.

Just ordered today, Sunday 12:55 , was torn between this and the mobiles.co.uk 7GB for £4.50 redemption deal , this one just edges it for me as I have a pending use for the voucher , and a fair chunk of the extra data will be used.

I have similar deal but pay £15 a month but my contract shows as £34.99 on my ee app as they don't do discounted contracts they just discounts on them.

I called to get a PAC code today as I was out of contract. They offered me a sim only deal of Unlimited texts/minutes and 4gb data for £9.99. WARNING. If you put this in your basket but change your mind and leave the website without emptying it, EE will somehow find out your number and hound you incessantly. You'd have to sell the Currys voucher for cost and pay it in to your account firstly, and even then, it would only cover 5 months of payments so you're still paying full price for 7 months. cold.
