New offer that went live today giving 20% off gift cards. Note the offer is mainly on the £25 gift cards but can multiply the offer up e.g. select 2 x £25 google play gift cards for £40.
£25 Google Play Physical Gift Card - now £20
£25 New Look Physical Gift Card - now £20
£25 Gap Physical Gift Card - now £20
£25 Monsoon Physical Gift Card - now £20
£20 Pizza Express Physical/Digital Gift Card - now £16
£20 Ask Physical/Digital Gift Card - now £16
Main benefit of buying gift cards is that this gives a further discount on top of other offers e.g. stack the gift card offer with 80% off New Look online sale.
Buy instore to avoid online delivery charges and is a lot easier.
Offer ends 26th March - enjoy

I have been using completesavings for a few years now. They do also offer gift cards as a discounted rate (e.g Tesco gift card 4% off face value or Argos @ 20%). I just thought I will introduce them here for anyone who does not know and it may help even further. Just bear in mind, complete savings is a cashback website but unlike Quidco or TCB is a paid membership. You do have the option to claim all your subscription fees back if you make a purchase through them each month thou, so nothing to lose (as far as you are shopping addict  )

That Pizza Express giftcard is ideal if you've got a NUS card as you get 40% off food AND drink on a Monday or Tuesday.

I was about to ask if that was 'allowed' Magicjay. I have an NUS card - and this seems like a great saving combination.
Nice share. The Argos and Boots discounts are standout and worth looking at if you are making a big purchase.
Lots of employers also have a workplace scheme to offer discounted gift cards so worth checking that out as well e.g. mine offer approximately 5% discount onone4all gift cards which can be used at Amazon.

Thank you - ordered a few from New Look for the daughter - then added with the Student Discount, this will give me 30% off sales stuff. Great find x

Yep, definitely allowed. Giftcards are treated like cash, not a promotion. You just cannot use the 40% off with voucher codes or Clubcard tokens etc

thanks for making us aware. Could you list the savings on reloadable cards/instant gift cards please? I'm interested in Sainsburys and Morrisons and would like to know the % to assess whether or not the £15/month would be worth it

As I mentioned it is a paid service but I've never been left off pocket. They take the money at the beginning of month (£15), I either do a proper purchase through them or a tiny purchase (normally superdrug delivers free even if you buy something for 99p) and they will refund me the £15 back into my account. Also the cashback rate they offer is much higher than TCB/Quidco which is a plus. Either way, you should consider your needs of course before doing anything.

13 Mar 17#21
they give you the £15 back? I'm in. I owe you a beer.
EDIT: I can't see on the sign up page where it says the £15 is refunded when you've made a purchase?
mixmixi
13 Mar 172#22
This is not a refund. It is called "Monthly Bonus". You'd submit the proof of purchase and get the money paid to your bank account (Normally takes 2 weeks).
joshtbh
13 Mar 17#23
sounds good!
1) Can you purchase from anywhere to get the bonus (Superdrug's a great idea)
2) ever had one refused?
3) What happens say e.g. you bought a £2000 TV from Argos to use the 20% off, and the TV breaks after 6 months and you want a refund - are you then stuck with £2000 on an Argos Gift card?

are Netflix cards included?
mixmixi
13 Mar 171#28
1) Well that is what I am doing. So, yes.
2) Yes I had, I tried to cheat once (somehow really, I made a purchase, sent the receipt, the retailer didn't have stock and cancelled the order the day after, I didn't tell CS anything) and the cashback was rejected (I reclaimed it with another purchase (you have 30 days to get your money back).
3) I believe so, unless Argos accepts to refund £2000 back on your card? I think this has nothing to do with the gift card issuer, no retailer would accept to issue a refund on a card when you have used a gift card to pay for the purchase. Does Argos refund people for their purchase after 6 months if they were not happy with purchase, or they simply exchange only (that is my question now?)
joshtbh
13 Mar 171#29
I'm not actually sure about whether Argos refund, it was just an example about the pitfall of using a gift card for a large purchase.

13 Mar 171#30
I believe it is a general rule. The refund always goes to original payment method.

How do you use love2shop cards at amazon or do you just try and buy amazon gift cards from other places with the love2shop card?
I thought i was doing alright with the 3% cashback on amazon through work, but get 7% cashback on love2shop reloadable cards

Please can we don't start an argument? I do know a lot of reviews they've got is because people got trapped into their new sub bait in the first place. Have you done any purchase from Argos, Zavvi, Trainline online? Once the purchase is done you'd see a pop up saying claim £15 right now! People fall for it! They subscribe give card details. They don't read how to claim that £15 and then forget about everything and when they find out is when they've been paying £15 every month for years! And then they go on trustpilot and empty themselves.
The moral bit is, I'm not recommending nor giving any warnings here. I just said there's a place you can obtain discounted gift cards from. If you don't know how to use it then it's not my fault! I've seen people who know how to fish and people who buy fish and chips. They both live, it's just the quality of their life that's different.

Not really, you can only top up £100 of vouchers each month...With a £15 monthly fee unless you make a purchase it becomes a bit of a cult experience.
You're either all in and committed in the vein of being committed to a utility.
If the limit on vouchers was £200 then it would be much more appealing.

Whatever happened to the discounted itunes cards? They used to be 10 to a penny!
sanjaykj
13 Mar 17#50
I am using them for 4 years, have managed to get my monthly fees back every single time (couple of times needing a follow up as cheque never arrived) but recently they started online payment for monthly bonus and cashback so its even better. Their casback is typically 10 percent but list of merchants is not as exhaustive as topcashback. Missing transactions are always credited and no excuse has been ever given. I also buy 100 gbp worth argos / boots gift card which come with 20 percent discount (argos 20 percent option is not always available). Other high street gift cards are 3 to 8 percent off

I'm sure not to be the only person wondering at this stage how much completesavings charges, and in the "how much does it cost" FAQ they manage to avoid giving the answer, but it is there in small print on the sign up page. £15 / month. There's also a cap of £250/month cashback payable. The only way to find out which retailers are included is to take up the 30 day free trial, there's no access to that list or to the rates before then. Remember to cancel your subscription afterwards if the company that you're looking for isn't included or it could cost you sorely!
