OMG!!! I received the two pairs of black shoes that I ordered.
Okay fellow HUKD'er, brace yourselves...
So, as mentioned I ordered two pairs of size tens. You would not believe what I received:
- A pair of 9.5 shoes.
- A pair of 10.5 shoes - however, one of the shoes is actually a size 10 where someone has taken a sharpie and adding a 1/2 next to the 10 to make it look like its a 10.5.
So out of four shoes, I only got one ten, but it was marked as a 10.5!
The uppers are good quality, however the soles are absolute rubbish - very poor quality rubber soles that feel very lightweight. I think I would return them even if they'd sent the right size.
What a complete waste of time.

Is the iffy quality purely from shoes via the outlet? Like isotonic mentions, no issues at all, I have a Goretex pair as work shoes and still fine after 8 years..

Not just the outlet - Clarks shoes in general. Some people are lucky, some aren't. This guy wasn't - and there look to be at last 10 pairs of decomposing Clarks shoes there! Check your cupboards!
Went in store. Showed them the email got my shoes 20% off

Been wearing Clarke shoes to work for almost 10 years..apart from one pair that didn't last long all the others have lasted at least a year of wear - a lot of wear for 5 days a week and lots of walking..HOT deal from me

Thanks op. Just bought a couple of pairs of work shoes. The disintegration comments in the thread are a little worrying and I'm now thinking maybe I should cancel my order.
Anyone here ever had problems with black work shoes from Clarks?

Most certainly - and I'd advise anyone with what they think are perfect, unused Clarks shoes in their wardrobes to check what they're like. What you find is that as soon as you wear them, or sometimes as soon as you open the box, they disintegrate because of the materials used. The videos above (and many more) are unbelievable - but factual. Haven't bought Clarks shoes for a long time because of this. Cheap materials to cut costs, but unless you wear them out quickly they just disintegrate, all on their own. Brilliant, Clarks!

Yes, couple of times when the soles just ripped completely.

I have a pair of black shoes that I wear on occasions but otherwise they are left aside. I can confirm that they have not disintegrated over the past 12 month.
£80 pair of brown shoes bought for £44.
Cheers!

Difficult to say, really, but certainly not Clarks. They've behaved thoroughly disreputably over the whole business, as the videos show. It's one thing producing shoes that rot of their own accord, but another thing entirely refusing to deal with the problem that you've created.

so I doubt it'll work in conjunction with the spring17 code.

Similar thing happened to my father's pair.
What company would you recommend that has good quality pair at reasonable prices?

Any number of reports like these of disintegrating shoes - badly made imported junk sold at high prices.
