Collect £10 worth of Advantage points for every £50 spend in store on Thursday 23rd March. Offer available in stores, all day. Just in time for Mother's Day
This deal is often on-line at the same time but there is a higher spend threshold, nothing has been announced yet though.
You may find that if you place an online order in store you get both sets of points...I did.

Could you purchase an item for £50+, claim the points and return the item?

Doubt it as it would say on the receipt that you got the extra points, I know I've returned stuff and they've asked for my advantage card and taken the points back.

Probably not from Boots though - almost always grossly overpriced, which is why they can easily afford to knock £10 off £50 and still make a fat profit. As well as ripping off UK taxpayers and the NHS by their aggressive tax avoidance schemes.
No7 protect & perfect & lift & luminate complete skincare box set in store now. Value is £99 Now £45 & £10 points back on a spend of £50 on 23rd March ; )
