"Hello,
The price for `Zotac ZT-P10800C-10P GeForce AMP Edition 8 GB GDDR5X VR Ready Graphics Card - Black' (ASIN: B01KELNCZE) was displayed incorrectly when you placed your order.
Despite our best efforts, with the millions of items available on our website, pricing errors can occasionally occur.
Your order has now been cancelled. If you still want to purchase this item, please place a new order which will be charged at the correct price, when we dispatch it to you.
We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused and hope to see you again soon.

Still got open orders on the two Ichill ones (X3 and X4) so hoping one of those might slip through but isn't looking good, especially since the missprice lasted a lot longer on those, in fact it was still showing at the lower price today, so they would have a lot more to fulfil....

Fraud listings like these are now absolutely rife on Amazon - and they seem completely relaxed about it. These listings are incredibly easy to spot (e.g. a seller with minimal activity listing 12000 items overnight at stupid prices) but Amazon sometimes takes days to remove them, in which time some people could have been scammed.
The scammers urge you to contact them to complete the sale, then ask for bank details and the like.
Johnmcl7 to Themadcow
7 Feb 17#52
That's what irritates me about these sellers, some scams are subtle and difficult to stop but in this case the scammers are blatantly obvious by their entirely unsubtle massive listings of highly desirable electronics are stupidly low prices. Given how few genuine sellers there must be listing that many items I'd have thought it would make sense to flag any seller who does that and check them over before they can list on Amazon because Amazon must waste a lot of time refunding payments for these scam items.

Pretty sure he is either fibbing or maybe bought it from the "Richard Booth" seller rather than Amazon directly, from what people on here say their account was hacked so whoever has access to it can probably just mark the item as dispatched, doesn't mean it's actually coming.
I think on pre-order/out of stock items Amazon have to get an estimated delivery date before they can ship, they don't just instantly go from out of stock to shipped, at least in my experience....

Something dodgy with all of these. Checking the cheaper 1080's all of the listings are by individuals, newly launched sellers or existing sellers with newly changed names.
Unless it is sold by Amazon don't feed the trolls.

6 Feb 17#44
Deal has been expired but I can still see a seller called 'Costcut' selling for £419.
It's a shame this isn't for the AMP! Extreme! edition otherwise I would've gone all in.
ST3123 to CHAOSEN3
6 Feb 17#45
Yeah I wish it had been that one. With a high end GPU like this I'd be happier with 3 fans and might give a bit more overclocking headroom when the time comes. Stupid naming convention as you assume the AMP! version is the best one (this used to be the case on Zotac cards) but no they have to invent another word to go after the AMP! leaving the AMP! to become the standard model.
There was one for £294 last year, but I don't think they can seriously be referencing that apparent one-off..?
ST3123
6 Feb 171#42
Thing is though not everyone needs constant 60fps all the time, yes it's the ideal or gold standard, but for those of us used to console gaming (most commonly 30 fps) or just not all THAT sensitive to fps, I am pretty sure you could comfortably game in 4K at 30fps+ on the vast majority of games with one of these, even with high (or above) settings. You can ease the load on the card a bit by disabling AA as you just don't need it at 4K, unless on a massive screen, the sheer volume of pixels provide all the AA you need.
So with a few IMHO minor compromises I think this could be a very good 4K gaming card, that's what I intend to do with mine if Amazon are kind enough to honour this.....

6 Feb 17#41
Amazon basically sort the seller out and you're covered. If anything isn't as advertised then the seller has to provide you with a replacement/refund
priceyrice
6 Feb 17#40
I'm wondering the same, his website looks legit as do the reviews, majority of negative comments to do with delivery or poorly packaged items.
How does Amazon's refund policy work for things like this?
I have placed a pre-order on one of the other 1080 (£460) but am tempted to give it a go.
xavk
6 Feb 171#36
These lower prices all seem to be driven by a single seller (Richard Booth . The Game Booth) who is offering much lower than market price on these cards and then Amazon are price matching. They are all on secondary entries for these devices (ie Amazon has another page with higher prices and existing stock) so it will be easy enough for Amazon to never get stock for this particular page.
Hendies to xavk
6 Feb 17#39
Reckon he's legit or not?
You'd be covered under Amazon's buyer guarantee surely
1070 for £294 was still better value. you're only getting about 20% increase on 1070 performance with a 1080.
mamboboy to plath
6 Feb 171#16
1070 is no good for those who game in higher resolutions. You'll get around 40 fps in The Witcher 3 at 3440x1440 for example. Probably around 50-60 fps in BF1...
This will be cancelled any ways. It's amazon accidentally pricematching a scam seller...
priceyrice to plath
6 Feb 17#32
When was this offer.
I really can't decide whether to buy a 1070 or 1080. Currently own a fury x and only use my pc for my htc vive, just don't see the improvements being big enough to justify a new GPU after less than a year with my current one.
Will try and wait until the new cards hit the market, i'm just a bit of a sucker for a good deal!
ST3123
6 Feb 17#30
I got my order in just before the price changed, very close though, as I had it in the basket thinking about it, I know its a no brainer in theory, but £419 is a lot of money to blow on one component still. Anyway, I figured if this comes through I could sell my current GTX 1060 for ~£200 to soften the blow of this somewhat and pulled the trigger. Order came up fine at £419, but I noticed by the time I actually paid at checkout people on here were talking about it being back up to £575 so wonder if having it in the basket at £419 somehow 'held' the price for me? though I didn't think that was possible.
Anyway, really hope we all get this. Amazon have a decent track record with honouring miss-prices though I fear this one may be too much for them to swallow though being this early it is possible they don't have too many orders to deal with. An interesting wait and see.....
The_Hoff to ST3123
6 Feb 17#31
It doesn't hold the price, it will notify you that your the prices of your basket contents have changed and notify you of the new price before clicking pay.
Amazon will be losing £100-125 on this per card in terms of trade costs.
I hope I'm wrong, but I suspect it will be cancelled as a listing error, they did it before to me with a car seat I ordered.
If you got a 1080 for this money it would be a great price, though the RX490 might changed the 1080 pricing soon.

I have 980ti g1 sli. Selling both of them to get this would leave me in profit but in most games, lower performance. My main reason for fancying a 1080 or a 1080ti is supersampling in vr. Sli isnt supported by anything other than 1 or 2 games in vr.

Anyway, there is a triple fan Inno 3D model here at £461: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/inno3d-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1080-8-gb-ichill-x3-amazon-for-461-10-pre-order-2613454?p=29990157 I've pre-ordered that too and though £40 more I think I'd prefer that for the extra cooling power and the fact that Inno 3D have the best build quality I have ever seen (had one of their GTX780s)...
