You are welcome, at the beginning I struggled to find stuff to play late at night. Oddly at that time I tend to avoid the fps's etc. Hope it helps.

Disney infinity, I think the servers are going down for 3 I think you'd still have access to the base game, please check first.
Sorry if I missed it are you xone or x360? I can have a rummage through my backlog I might be able to come up with a few more suggestions...

You have similar rules to me regarding games for kids/teens and I'd recommend Plants v Zombies 2 (think about ea access?) for a kid friendly "shooting" game, also try them with Stikbold! Fun for all ages.

Also iv heard trackmania turbo is a good kids racing game and maybe take a look at lego worlds. It's building like minecraft I think but has a story to it as well. Hope that helps you.

Thank you I'm happy with Lego games as they're not realistic and I'm sure we had it on the xbox 360 or have it on the wii not sure which and it's quite a child friendly game. didn't think of those so that's really helpful.

he was trying to argue that you're killing aliens which is good mum lol. I just feel kids these days are getting really desensitised to violence and I don't want my kids to be the same. I'm happy for him to play zelda on the wii as it's really unrealistic but things like cod are very real so I'm trying to stay away from games like that. I think I'll look at some demos of halo on YouTube and make my mind up from there.
thank you for taking the time to answer

It is, but it's a lot less graphic IMO than games like Call of Duty. Spacemen with lasers, basically.

Unfortunately systems like Xbox one are aimed at adults so not many kids games the ones u said are probably the most popular ones. But agree with above comments lego games are good. But bare in mind the have to hit other Lego models with swords to break them etc. I guess it depends on how much u wanna stop them from seeing.

Halo is another shooting game I'm afraid but if your looking for kids games then look for the logo games there is loads from lego batman to lego Harry potter

Thanks for that maybe I'll give it a miss. can you recommend any games for an 8 year old that don't involve guns and killing people? We have a wii which has family games I find X box has way to many violent titles am not a gamer myself so don't really know which are family orientated games. We just got rocket league which the boys are loving, forza3, minecraft and fifa 17 kids are 14, 12 and 8 and a little girl 4. Eldest wants halo but from what I can tell it's another shouting game which I'm not keen on.

Actually they limited it (ironically) to be realised on x360, never bother to adjust for x1. There was a huge backing to get the devs to fix but funny enough every time things got large enough they "dissapeared".

No kinect needed. But honestly it's a ok game but u can only build like 8 or something enclosures and couple of shops before the game can't take anymore and then u get left with loads of space in ur park but u can't do anymore to it. U have to tear something down to build something. Basically developers couldn't be bothered to put in a better game engine. I guess cost wise that would have cost em more. But it gets boring quickly when u can't put anything more in

Just a reminder the zoo limit still hasn't been fixed. I can't link to the xb user voice vote here to fix as they keep deleting the ones with the most votes :disappointed:

decent price. both my kids love feeding the animals with the Kinect. but I must say load times for a next gen title are ridiculous! and you quickly get to a point where u can build no more attractions despite having acres of space left .....
