Was going to buy one of these yesterday at Screwfix for about £10 then came across this in Abingdon B&M and thought cant go wrong for the price for branded lock.
Please do a search for 'yale' on here - there have been two deals posted in the past couple of weeks, and several comments in one of them regarding low quality.
Does this lock have yale stamped on it anywhere, because they always used to when they were a good quality item - the one I bought from B&M didn't have it stamped where they usually are, and I struggled to get the key in, so perhaps these are an inferior batch which B&M have bought in cheaply.

The essentials range of this type of lock does not have Yale stamped on it
