Any idea what the best 480 would be for me then? I would prefer for it to not be noisy/have any issues with overheating.

If money is no object I would go for the sapphire nitro version 8gb which went for about 210 just before xmas. However these now selling for 240. The nitro has a very sexy backplate and glows RGB depending on whether its under full load or not. If that is your thing. It's also one of the fastest.

Alternatively the MSI gaming x design (aka twin frozr) does well and is one of the best coolers. There's a link to buy it for 200 on this site but it's from Amazon France. Any of the major brands are good however - gigabyte, asus. Just beware different ones have difference factory overclocks.

Rubbish cooler, but if you can live with it, it's worth the money, best card in this price range.

Get the MSI card from Amazon France.

I bought a Sapphire Nitro RX 480 but I had to return it because it was blowing hot air onto my HDD and SSD, and I can't move either of them around. The SSD was reaching up 56 degrees, and I'm pretty certain that's a dangerous temp to have. The blower type fan design doesn't exhaust the hot air inwards which is why it's ideal in smaller cases.

Pretty much why I bought this for my SFF case too. It exhausts all/most of the hot air straight out of the back, rather than back out into your system. My SFF case has no internal fans other than the one on the GPU and CPU cooler so this does the job!

56c is no where near dangerous for an SSD, they are made to operate up to and beyond 70c. Heck even the bare m.2 drives don't throttle until they hit circa 90c

Few 1 star reviews on google (maps) for delivery being slow, warranty claims and DOA / RMA poor service. Hope you get a good one and don't need to return it!

You're not wrong, but there is absolutely no reason why your SSD should be above 40C.

Getting back on topic however, I received my RX 480 yesterday and I'm really impressed with the performance at 1440p.
