I've been thinking about getting this game but heard that the loading times on console are absolutely horrible. Can anyone shed some light on this?

I had nothing longer than 1 minute load times on the PS4, got longer when I put the PS4 on suspend mode so obviously close down the game.

No but play it it's amazing, 2 almost makes EU ending redundant to be fair, but go for the Enemy Within package if you do adds alot more to the game

On the new Beta 3.5 firmware, using 'boost mode' it runs extremely fast, no frame drops at all and feels definitely faster then before. Load times reduced too imho.
So definitely better on the pro then my old PS4.

I sold my XCOM 2 which I had on PS4, the load times were unbearable and the frame rates were all over the show. Picked it up on the PC in the end, no regrets.

Finished this last weekend on the PS4. Load times were slightly annoying at times but nothing unbearable. Great game overall (and a great price) but I felt the missions got a bit samey after a while.
Mine crashed a couple of times too, but that may have been down to it being a digital copy.

Boost mode does not work on games that have Pro support, XCOM 2 has Pro support, it might run better on the Pro but its not because of boost mode.
Played this on xbox one, even got the wife involved in this. First game shes actively told me she wants to watch me play. Loading times are abit slow if your reloading all the time but its barely noticeable

Yeah, load times are only really a problem if savescu... err... reloading a lot. Which I never do, ever, honest. Brilliant game and there is nothing really similar on the consoles.
Still not as good as Gollops's 90's original though.
