Paris, 1789. The French Revolution turns a once magnificent city into a place of terror and chaos. Its cobblestoned streets run red with the blood of commoners who dare to rise up against an oppressive aristocracy. Yet as the nation tears itself apart, a young man named Arno will embark upon an extraordinary journey to expose the true powers behind the Revolution. His pursuit will throw him into the middle of a ruthless struggle for the fate of a nation, and transform him into a true Master Assassin.
Introducing Assassin's Creed Unity, the blockbuster franchise's new chapter powered by the all new Anvil engine, rebuilt from the ground up for next gen. From the storming of the Bastille to the execution of King Louis XVI, experience the French Revolution as never before, and help the people of France carve an entirely new destiny.

I bought this at £6.99 and added it to the wrong Xbox account. I don't really want to talk about it, and I'm not buying it again, out of principle.
Heat added, though. Stupid price.

Black flag was a great game defo better than unity, but unity is in my top 3 ac games. For 94p you'd be stupid not too. Even if you buy it and chuck it in your backlog. I had mine in there for months and finally decided to play it and really enjoyed it

I think the whole value for money thing is somewhat diminished when you're paying the equivalent of over £11/hr to play! :stuck_out_tongue:

Insane price, but probably justified - The single worst entry into the AC franchise by a long way. This game was just a mess, a ridiculous, glitchy, yawn-fest mess.
DocRobotnik to steve_bezerker
12 Feb 17#75
If, like most of us, you played it once the glitches were patched, it's actually a very good game. Dated by its last gen tech, but still good.

is it a good game?
steve_bezerker to sharjeelahmed07
9 Feb 171#51
By no stretch of the imagination can this game be considered 'good'. It has sloppy multiplayer mechanics, a very poor un-engaging story arc, and a great looking city that has absolutely nothing in it. The game lacks any real value and is not rewarding in the slightest.
Even the most stealthy of missions turns into a run and gun, hack and slash because people online don't care about stealth.
The ONLY thing this game has that is half-way to being decent is the customisation skills on your character where clothing is concerned. That's about it.

I would agree that you would be disappointed if you had paid full price for this game (as I did initially)
However they have ironed out a large number of the faults, and for a sub £1 game it is a superb game. I disagree that there is "nothing to do" - when in fact there is an overwhelming amount of things to do. It is a beautiful game, probably more so then Syndicate. The story could be better, which is weak in parts.
If you are vaguely an assassins creed fan then you really can't go wrong for this price.

I am the worlds biggest AC fan. I have every game, every collectable statue, every book, I have a replica hidden blade and tomahawk from AC3. I have a signed photograph from Roger Craig Smith who played Ezio. It's my favourite game franchise of all time and it is by this standard that I say Unity is by a long long way the absolute worst in the whole series. Even at less than £1 it would feel like a shambles of a game. If there's a game that feels more disconnected from the AC universe than any other it's Unity.
Black Flag also didn't feel like an AC game but that was really good regardless. I am a firm believer that when developers put out trash games like Unity that the consumers should call them out and let them know.
Also you mention that there is an 'Overwhelming amount to do'. I have to strongly disagree... There are about 3 things to do, in multiple locations, and when the game mechanics are that bad what fun is there to be had in grinding them out?

I bought this a few months back for a couple o' quid, played about 30 mins (my first AC game). Didn't really get the fuss, didn't draw me in like mass effect or dragon age so will probably never be played again.
