This rucksack has two side mesh pockets, a top cap section with a zipper pocket and two rigid poles for an inner back system. Can you show me another link to an 85L rucksack for the same money? I had quick google and couldn't find one.
If Asda sell petrol for 10p a litre today, raise the price tomorrow, then go back to 10p the day after, that means it isn't a good deal on the third day because it's just a previous sale price? Extreme example but shows the flaw in your logic.

Your comments make no sense - this is a deals site based on price of a specific item at time of posting and the need of those that may have a requirement for that item or similar.
Argos deals often state the same item as been on sale at the same price before because they are obliged to do that due to trading laws.
Just because an item has sold for say £1 last year at a discounted rate then the same item increased in value for the following year only to drop again in the sale right now isn't that a deal based on today's value?
As for the ' boring but important info ' part - that may not matter to you - BUT matters to others' hence even argos try and make light of it by saying it's ' boring but IMPORTANT.
So the thing is people aren't suckered into anything - but you just might be. :wink:

It sounds like you've never owned a decent rucksack before. To be honest, I'd be happy to pay about £39.99 for something like this anyway. I bought a Berghaus one with similar features that cost over £100, although got it in the sales for £39.99
The things I'd really miss with this one though are more zips and a proper rain cover. Then again a nice bin bag and some tape could act as a makeshift one.

I work for Argos and can tell you that siadwel is absolutely correct!
New offers usually start on a Wednesday but the previous price has usually only been charged over the previous weekend and when the item was first put on sale.

I bought this rucksack for me and partner and used it to tour around Thailand.
Highly recommend it because it has an extension at the top so at the end of the trip you can make room for all those souvenirs. Really comfy on the back and the straps around the chest and waste mean you can shift the weight to suit you.

pay your money take your chance, it wont take the weight that you would normal get with 85l of gear, the stitching is no where near strong enough and all the padding (what there is of it) is very thin. But to use once or twice it is ok. Long term you might as well put the money to something a bit better.

I don't know about this one, but does seem a good price if it's any good, I say this as I've borrowed one long term from a friend :wink: he got it from tesco I think for a tenner, it is well made, all the straps padding loads of compartments but didn't think you could fit that much in it really and the main problem was the straps by the neck, I found it digging in to the neck and with the Velcro adjustment attachment it was quite painful, ok for use over a short period

I doubt folks will expect much for £14 and therefore won't do anywhere near as much research as they would when spending serious dollar on a new car. And for 'outdoor noobs' on a budget, this will more than likely suit their needs.

Yes u expect that and that's mistake. With car or rucksack. I walk in mountains for 21 years. Two years ago I was on 2500 m rocks.One week before my trip just 2 lads died there cos they went in INDOOR shoes and when one slipped he pulled second lad too. Rocks seriously hit 3 more people on path. One week later girl broke hand and leg cos her HANDBAG get trapped. That happening more and more(as I heard from friends or guys living in hills). Stupidity expanding. Did u loaded full 85 l rucksack and walked with it? Can u see that poor filling, rubbish clips, there is no size adjustment.That u start to feel in moment when track get angle or rocks. But this is not just about rucksacks. Yes u can use that just for taking cloths for wash, but u can use plastic bag for £1 for same.

No. Not 85l cos my 70l was good enough for 4 weeks hiking with 2 person tent and food loaded . Weight on day of start was 27 kg. I will pack now rather 60l for same trip. It was good quality rucksack with good padding and height setup and I still remember how important became small advantages against my friend dad's rucksack. How we have to transfer stuff from his to mine bag. How he can't sleep in night cos pain in back and shoulders. And how easy get ripped cheap rucksack on trees or rocks.
