Just saw this on the shelf in East Grinstead, reduced from £30.50 to £20, sticker marked as "Stock Clearance".
Not sure if this is store specific, or nationwide - and the price on the website is still £30.50. Hopefully it will be nationwide - but for anyone that lives in/near East Grinstead, there were a couple left at the back of the shelf when I got mine.
Update: Confirmed as not store specific by Boz

Mods...don't change the title of my post when you don't know much about Single Malt Scotch. I've changed it back now.

Not Store Specific - Seen Last Wednesday In Barry South Wales
And Very Tempted
But Look Closely At the Aldi/Lidl Ranges
They Appear To Be Winning A Lot Of Awards
And Are Cheaper Again. Heat BTW
Cheers for the confirmation - glad its not store specific. Well aware of Lidl and Aldi's offerings. I finally opened up one of my bottles of Aldi's Glen Marnoch 28 year old single malt last weekend...blown away by it (especially for £40!).
I don't think its easy to find a 12 year old Islay for £20 in many places though unfortunately - which is why I thought this is quite a good deal.

No I Agree £20 at Waitrose For This Bottle (Which is also a Gold Award winner) is excellent - hence I was very tempted. May pop back next week for a re-evaluation !!!
I had been craving a Peat dram all week but Laphroaig has been removed from it's usual £27 price tag and Amazon have no stock due for months . Purchased the Aldi single malt Islay and not disappointed one bit. If I had to guess I would say it's from Bowmore as it's quite similar to Bowmore small batch but at half the price. So good I slipped another one into trolley this afternoon. Loads of Peat and good complexity underneath.
I love Laphroaig 10 yo but there is no way it is worth DOUBLE the Aldi Islay.
Unfortunately I don't have a Waitrose near me other I would give this a try for sure. Have some heat.

Gutted, wish I'd bought a bottle of that Glen Marnoch. Picked it up, put it back, picked it ..... then walked away.........looking back over my shoulder

Nooooo.....I feel for you!
Funnily enough, when I bought my first bottle of it, I only went in to get some Parmaesan - then spotted the Glen Marnoch 28, which I think must have come in that day, and had to get one. I really wish I'd emptied the entire shelf though. For the money, it really is that good.

Thanks OP just been to my local store and they had plenty of stock. They also had two other own brand malts on offer (including a 16 y/o Speyside for £25). I'm a fan of the peat so just picked up two bottles of the Islay.
I am looking forward to trying it. It gets a mention in Ian Buxton's brilliant 101 Whiskies to Try Before You Die (though not as one of the 101 but as an alternative to Aldi's Highland Black)

Claims it comes from a distillery with over 150 years of history so almost certainly Caol Ila.
