Easily worth triple this amount. I know I bang on about it all the time, but this really is my best game of 2016. If you haven't played it, I really suggest you do
Lowest price I've seen in a while. It seems to have shot up in price too since the Year 2 kicked off.
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege is the upcoming installment of the acclaimed first-person shooter franchise developed by the renowned Ubisoft Montreal studio for the next generation of consoles and PC.
Inspired by the reality of counter-terrorist operatives across the world, Rainbow Six Siege invites players to master the art of destruction. Intense close-quarters confrontations, high lethality, tactics, team play, and explosive action are at the centre of the experience.
The multiplayer gameplay of Rainbow Six Siege sets a new bar for intense firefights and expert strategy in the rich legacy of past Rainbow Six games.
About £11 too much, and a rubbish overhyped game full of hackers... :smirk: (I'm joking of course, I love the game)

Can i just ask.. If i buy the xbox one version currently for £15 off the xbox store will i get access to the year 2 content? I played it for free over the weekend and loved it but wondering if buying that will be worth it?
Cheers.

Hi mate, basically the season passes work differently on this game. All dlc maps are available from day one to all players, but operators are locked for 1 week to season pass holders (and they are free for them) but after that week you can grind for renown (in game currency you gain for winning matches and completing challenges) and purchase them that way. Think of the season pass as a shortcut, nothing more. The main operators have enough weapons and abilities to keep you occupied for a long time though.

I own this game on PS4, Xbox One and PC. it's that good, I bought it on all systems so I can play it with my different groups of friends across all the platform's. PS4 is my main machine, but this game is at its best on PC. For a ubisoft game it's actually very well optimised. Stop playing cod or battlefield and get on this with a few mates. simply awesome

what's the single player like (if there is one) ?

9 Feb 17#11
There is no single player - just a few "Situations" - which are basically tutorial missions which get you used to each "core" operators abilities.

Just to clarify, you can play the Terrorist Hunt missions (which involve a few different game modes) on all the maps in single player, but there isn't any single player story-based campaign as such. I do still dip into Terrorist Hunt now and again, though it's usually to do it in co-op. Whether you're playing alone or with friends, the Realistic difficulty is always a serious challenge.

ha what game is that pic from???
Finally picked this up for the ps4...biting after the free weekend. Picked it over the Xbox one version as there's a noticeable resolution difference. kinda wish I didn't. it's a great game but since the weekend there's not been a day that either Sony has online trouble or ubisofts servers are down. checking ubisofts Twitter and it sounds like since release they've been pretty useless with their servers for this...all the more questionable when you consider this is p2p gaming.
Well worth the price. Just be aware there may be lots of issues actually getting to play it.

PC is the way to go if you want to get into this game, with Discord for chat.
In my 25 years of gaming, I can whole heartedly say that this is the best game I have ever played.
The longevity is outstanding, every match is a different experience and the gameplay is so dynamic.
Play with at least two other friends, or you will not enjoy this game.

I dunno about that, I never have trouble finding a team with mics on PS4 (especially in ranked). Most of the people on my friends list are from R6S .
And I thought I was the biggest fan .
I think it can depend on what you're comfortable with. I often play a quick game (okay games) of casual with some randoms and I still find it enjoyable. It's especially satisfying when yer matched with people who turn out to be a good team. That's how I met the majority of the people I play ranked with.

Also - please remember that if you want to instantly unlock all Year 1 operators (8 of 8 released last year) and all Year 2 operators (2 released, 6 more to come) - then you will need to ALSO buy the Year 1 season pass and the Year 2 season pass.
If you are new to this game, I would recommend buying the Year 1 season pass on top of the base game, as you will want to spend all your in-game credit on the upcoming operators, rather than the old ones. Don't worry about the year 2 pass - it will be a long time before you get used to the year 1 operators first!
There is also a Year 1 Gold edition, which is the full game plus year 1 SP.

I didn't like it much (played on a free weekend) - I'm more of a burst-in-and-shoot-everything lone wolf so this game doesn't cater much for my style.

Playing for a free weekend is not enough time. I did the same thing around Xmas 2015 and I completely ditched it as I just "didn't get it".
I had a group of friends that talked me into playing it again, when you learn how different operators can change the dynamics of your team and how that dynamic changes with each game you play, it makes it really very unique.
Defenders: we've reinforced that entry point.
Attackers: oh really? Well we have Thermite on our team, he'll put a hole in that reinforcement.
Defenders: cool story bro, we have Bandit on our team, he's electrified those reinforcements, so your Thermite dude can't touch it!!
Attacker: Quiet noobs, one of our guys picked Thatcher, he can use his emp grenades to disable to de-electrify that reinforced wall.
Defender: Well buddy, as soon as you do that, our Mute operator will pop a signal disrupter down as soon as Thatcher has used that EMP, so Thermite can place as many charges on that wall as he likes, but still won't be able to set it off. Really guys, you're not getting through this reinforced wall
Attacker: ok, plan B then wise guy, we'll abseil in from above and use Mr. Sledge to smash the floors above you, making nice holes to shot you through.
Defender: Well good luck chaps, just watch out for the welcome mats (bear traps) laid down by Frost. And we'll see where you're coming from, one of us is Valkyrie and she's put cams everywhere.
Attacker: it's on mother f*******!!

I was playing a game of secure area on House. The round was about a minute in, and someone (I can't remember which operator) was in the gym waiting to surprise the attackers. Fuze set off one of his launchers on the main bedroom window, and the next thing I know, the guy in the basement gets killed by an adventurous puck . Fuze scares the hell out of me these days!

I'm very much the drunken Fuze. The one that still doesn't learn, even after killing the hostage on round one

Hey, I have just purchased rainbow six.
I was a counter strike player so I still use that sense to calculate sence in other games such as bf1 and overwatch.
I cs I used 800dpi 1 in game on a 1080p resolution.
Zoom Sense 1
Could anyone tell me what the exact mouse sense is? Thanks

It's whatever you feel most comfortable with.
Immerse yourself in the game, not intricate peripheral response times.
