To be fair this is UK delivered with Amazon Prime and they do state '30-day exchange or refund guarantee unconditionally'. Great spec for 130 quid. I figure it's worth a punt and will test it rigirously over the next few weeks. If there are any problems or if the phone doesn't meet my expectations, I know there won't be a problem returning it.

Bought from 3rd Party seller on Amazon but order fulfilled by Amazon and with prime Delivery. Link below but now out of stock. No current sellers fulfilled by Amazon, only direct from 3rd Party. I would only buy from Amazon or fulfilled by Amazon for buyer protection. Many different sellers on ebay priced between £124-£130
i recently purchased an Oukitel k6000 pro great phone for price of £130 - long battery life and GPS works really well as does fingerprint scanner. No NFC or gyroscope but i dont need those anyway.Has 3gb ram 32gb rom

It's not nonsense. I had an Umi Iron last year, great phone except some apps wouldn't install as it is regarded as a rooted phone.
Weirdly, most banking apps did work, but some including the 'Greggs' app would not jnstall due to the rooting.
No idea if the OS still has these issues on 2016/17 phones from Umi.

You can download an app that prevents other apps from knowing the phone is rooted. :smiley:

I have the sd card not mounting intermittently. But I don't have issues like phone being hacked etc. (or at least I don't know of) Charging port is not flimsy in my one. Phone is pretty fast but I think it is a little slower than my G5 on some apps. Finger print sensor work better than my G5 which packed up within few months. For a phone under £200, I am very pleased. Only problem is difficult to find a correct screen protector and very limited phone case choice.

I had the Umi super a month or so back and it was pretty bad. SD card wouldn't mount (worked fine in my su7), charging port was wobbly and therefore intermittent, and within 5 mins of logging into Instagram my account was hacked. Coincidence? I don't think so. I was nice and fast though.
Actually I think I am going to make the jump, and try it out! Been stalking the UMI deals for a while now.

Can anyone who has or had actually a chance to use this phone for a while tell the truth, is it any good? Some reviews saying that it doesn't support some apps and games or is it just down to os? Is ram and storage the only difference between UMI SUPER and MAX? Help much appreciated.

when I was researching these I found that almost all phones that use the Helio P10 have GPS issues, so steered clear in the end. Best thing to do is take a look at the Uni forum.

Regarding not supporting apps is nonsense unless the user is trying to install an app that does not support an older android OS, but in this scenario this mobile phone has the latest android firmware installed. Another reason an app may not be supported is the type of dimensions it has been designed for, for example if you try and install whatsapp on a tablet (well I know this was the case previously) the app will serve a notice "device not supported", another limitation for an app could be the type of hardware it uses, for example if you are trying to use an NFC app with a phone that doesn't have NFC. Lastly, if a game uses heavy ram and the phone has low ram the game may not run smoothly, however this will not be the case with 3gb. Apart from this I can not think of any reason as to why an android app would not be compatible with an android phone. The fact most of the device peripherals; battery made by Sony, RAM made by Samsung, Screen made by sharp (who by the way used to make Apple Screens) points to the direction of a successful purchase for the price

and she was extremely happy with it until annoying ads started showing up out of the blue. She didn't put many apps on and the ones she has are pretty legit.
Any idea how to get rid of those ads pls?
