My comment was pretty obvious, this deal was that it was on freeview, Judy letting people on free sat know it's not on sky. BT channels are on sky as well. BT has never been sky and sky has never been BT that we all know.

BT bought the European Cup rights up the other year so it's not on Sky as such, got no idea about the BT channel but I'd assume if would be showing on whatever platform it's being transmitted through.
That said BT ain't Sky and Sky ain't BT to state the obvious, that's what I'm on about

Can't see it on the guide, but have you not got a freeview TV? No need for Virgin then, just flick over to channel 59 on your tele.

Shame they don't provide the odd free game in HD, that might actually get people interested. I for one would not watch a SD game and be convinced to subscribe..

For me it wasnt a negative about the free game more as footy in general theses days,i like to watch Chelsea / Spurs /Arsenal as well as Man city. But i support and follow another blue team Pompey. Whilst it may be a big match how many times do we see theses games as well as in our domestic league turn out to be a poor and drab game

Arsenal fans? I'm Millwall
As for Chelsea you was proper fans when you were sxxt but once Harding started sticking dough in it all changed. The middle class post Italia 90 new breeds took over and the shed was turned in to a scout hut.
I know quite a few old school Chelsea and even went over to Austria Wien, Brugge and Zaragoza with them 20 odd years ago. We actually got scooped off the street in Brugge, held overnight in a warehouse and deported home the next morning, on a luxurious freight transporter ferry (_;)
Bottom line is all you big clubs have no right to be in the European Cup of champions unless you're actual domestic champions, the only English club who should be in the current competition is Leicester.
Why are muggy Arsenal there again this season yet no Fradi, what are siteh in it for once more yet no Zvezda?
The European Cup has fxxx all to do with rewarding sporting success, it's merely a marketing monopoly to maximise television revenue gained by appealing to the hundreds of millions of sheep around the world who glory hunt a dozen or so 'super clubs' located in just four western European countries.

Can't help but wonder if some of the negative comments about the Champion's League are coming from Arsenal fans...
That said, agree about the seeding. Group stages are all too often boring with entertaining groups of death only happening when something slips through the seeding cracks.
The competition seems set up to be Bayern, Real, Barcelona, one wildcard as the teams in the semi. As a Chelsea fan it seems that we played the same narrow set of teams over and over and it makes the competition seem like more of a chore.

Chasroyal i agree with your comment ( 13 ) and would like to add that seeding the top teams is wrong too, just to keep them apart. The draw should be one bag all teams, 6 are drawn out of the bag for group 1 then its onto group 2 and so on.If Chelsea come out the bag followed by Utd / Barca / Real madrid and Bayern munich thats the draw,if i wanted to be a champion then it would be by beating the best not dodging them.Buts its tv and money.Would like to see the world cup drawn this way too but its never going to happen. Then you've got the best of the worst qualifing for the Europa cup whats that all about !!.I call it corporate football. And it drives me mad.Rant over.Anyway Ive decided to book a table for two that night now.Hope the misses likes snooker .

Nah don't agree, bring back Cup Winners Cup and perhaps give a UEFA cup slot to winners of the two bob cup.
European Cup of Champions/champions league for champions and current holders only, nobody else.

Agreed, why the premiership has 4 potential spots is a joke. Should be league winners and fa cup winner. That would return value to both the fa cup and cl. As it stands the cl proper only starts after group stage.

Pay walls erm not quite, the European Cup lost it's appeal when they started letting also rans from certain countries enter whilst excluding champions from others and then having the front to call it the 'champions' league a quarter of a century ago.
How is it that proper clubs with proper fans like your Partizans, Dynamos and Fradis can win their domestic titles yet have to qualify for this 'champions' league whilst big company factory sports clubs from your Wolfburgs and Leverkusens with their plastic Mickey Mouse fans can finish runners up or third in their league but still go straight in to the group stages?
And as for PSG, the moment they banned the Boulogne lads yet continued to allow the auteuil dregs in to the other end of the ground it ceased to exist as a bona fide club, becoming just another play thing fad belonging to super rich outsiders.

Some previous games (Barcelona vs Man City and Man Utd vs Fenerbahce) aired by BT Sport have also been free on Sky Channel 414. I don't have Sky, can anyone else confirm if this game is free on this channel or what the channel is actually named? Perhaps also on Virgin (100/548) too?
