Humble Bundle's February 2017 monthly bundle has just been revealed, which also prompts the announcement of the headline game for March 2017. Subscribe now (or pay early, for existing subscribers) for instant receipt of a Steam key for Total War: WARHAMMER . When the full bundle is revealed at the start of March, you'll receive a further seven games (most of which should come with Steam keys).
The base price for the bundle is $12.00, which currently works out at £9.58 (note that if you pay by PayPal, their currency exchange fees will increase this slightly). For new subscribers, if you've recently purchased one of the weekly bundles, you should be eligible for a 10% discount on the first month.
Hardly Alien: Colonial Marines or Slaughtering Grounds now is it? Perhaps they're not games you personally enjoy (although I'd bet you haven't even tried half of them) but the clear consensus is that they all fall somewhere between very positive and overwhelmingly positive so you're certainly in the minority if that is the case.
Realistically what were you expecting if this is so utterly disappointing as a lineup (bearing in mind you already got XCOM 2 for your tenner)? I'm genuinely curious to see what someone with this mindset would have had to get out of this bundle to not just complain about it.

It's not that new. However, posting referral links is against HUKD rules and will get you banned - reposting yours after the mods have already removed it once really wasn't a good idea.

cheers, used your link. anyone know if this is a new thing as i've never seen it mentioned before - maybe worth posting in freebies or vouchers section ?
i've just noticed humble are doing a referral system, get someone to sign up for humble monthly and get £4 store credit. never seen this before so is it new ? was just about to subscribe anyway so anyone share a link so you can get the credit from my sub ?
there's mine if anyone is about to get monthly themselves.

Sadly I sense quite a few people consider 'not been marketed as a triple A $10 million title, must be crap'. For me, the most played games of the last year have almost entirely been indie games.

4 Feb 17#57
It's a little different to most total wars but I really like it, similar to medieval but with monsters! And magic, a lot more focus on the battles, and the dlc still updates the main campaign without you having to purchase anything, you just can't play as the new races, so it still brings a change to the campaign for free!
Battenberg
4 Feb 171#56
Yes you can by going into 'Your Account' - 'Settings', the humble monthly options are right at the top. That said you get 10% off in the store while subscribed so it might be worth leaving active if you're likely to buy anything there; just make sure it's cancelled at least a week before the next bundle starts to avoid getting charged for it.

Never actually played total war before aside from the original for like an hour so I look forward to trying out.

i'd be happy to pay that for tw: warhammer alone, don;t think that's dropped below £20 yet. if it's easy to simply pay for 1month on the spot and not bother cancelling a sub after the games come out this is a superb deal !
edit - can you just cancel the sub as soon as you get the TW:warhammer key and still get the remaining games on march 3rd ?

Steam gets mixed 68% score only because of paid dlc that is not really needed, unless you want to play the factions, you still get to play against all of them, even the mixed reviews all say great game, just they hate sega milking the dlc.

Anyone played Total War: Warhammer on a slightly under powered laptop? Took the risk with XCOM 2 last month and plays exceptionally well on low settings despite not meeting the MIN specs. Last Total War I played was Shogun 2 and that ran fine, am I pushing my luck with this? I have 8GB of RAM but only a 2.2GHz AMD processor and and only 1GB of on-board graphics.

I gave up a long time ago. Most of the headline games don't interest me but when they do they are bundled wit a load of stuff I have or consider rubbish. I admit I've missed out on a couple of good games by not wanting the headline game but I can wait, they will be in a bundle again soon.

uh oh. .. humble bundle is on track on consistently making me fork out around £20 / month for games (monthly sub & ad hoc bundle). but it's so hard to resist...
btw, I suspect there will be more overlap on the games (monthly sub and ad hoc bundle) like project cars then they put the dlc as the difference. so essentially we pay double for the Base game

In the worst case, you can always look to resell any keys that you don't want, bringing down the overall net cost to you - it might even work out at a net profit!

4 Feb 17#37
I guess that's one upside. Chances are most (all?) of those games will join the Steam backlog though.
I'm going to give the bundle a go. I'll just wait for the DLC to hit an acceptable price. Under a tenner is a bargain for this, a bunch of other games, and getting the game now rather than in three weeks.

I was thinking of going self employed, doing a John Carmack and ripping off Flappy Bird code, and doing the same thing
Interesting theory! But would that not imply I could release a terrible game with an rrp of £1000, sell no copies but give them away and write it off as a loss for my business? Surely that's not possible
(The monthly bundle donates 5% to charity)
Midnight.Tboy
3 Feb 17#26
I kind of wonder if the way these keys are given to humble etc for 'charity' reasons are more way to reduce companies taxable profits. Eg 1000 game codes x $60 value = $60k less that is taxable. Sure not quite right - but there's probably a reason behind it
(not relating to Total War btw - but these games in general - but yeah seems common that the main game has a potential extra future dlc sale attached to it too)
Illusionary to Midnight.Tboy
3 Feb 17#28
I can't see this being for tax reasons - the tax deduction, if any, will only be for the amount of the donation (i.e., equal to the reduction in their revenue), without any uplift/enhancement.

3 Feb 17#23

I nearly bought this from Argos after Christmas; £27.99. Then I found out about the Old World Edition (all DLC) and decided to wait.
Got a bit of a dilemma now. <£10 for the base game, or ~£30 for OWE. Will probably work out about even either way I expect; the DLC on sale later this year for around £20 total seems likely.

Remember that you'll get seven more games here as well - the bundle price doesn't just go towards the headline game.
struder
3 Feb 17#15
I expect that the reason this is in this months bundle is because a game of the year edition is on the way so they need to get rid of as many keys as possible before they announce it. Still best price for the game I've seen in the year since release.
MBeeching to struder
3 Feb 17#20
Can't imagine that's how it works. These are hypothetical numbers, but perhaps they offer Sega £3 for each Warhammer key generated with projected sales of 20000 copies (15000 for current and 5000 for new subs). The other titles in the bundle will get a lower offer (50p - £1?). It's all guaranteed sales for the developer at the end of the month so Humble can probably drive a hard bargain and obtain them at very low prices.
I agree a GOTY is probably on the cards though

OMG, I have subscribed just for Xcom 2 and was going to cancel tonight my subscription but I will be keeping it. Total War Warhammer for a tennar, smoking hot in here.
Super glad I went in for the XCOM 2 bundle, got 3 other wishlist games and a couple I hadn't heard of that sounded interesting, probably the best month they've done so far for me. This is another great headliner for sure although probably not a game I'd get round to playing plus I suspect this one may end up in a cheaper bundle down the line but £10 for this + 7 games is great regardless!

This is the best one so far! I mean XCOM 2 was pretty good, but this is a huge title that is less than a year old and hasn't been on sale for much less than £30 previously, so to get it for under a tenner with some other games is a fantastic deal.
