Currys / PC World are (again) selling Three network data SIMs with 1Gb data valid for 30 days. Now £1.97 each with free home delivery.
I have used these before and they are just 'plug and play' in a Mifi device or a tablet.
If you want a fairly cheap, quick data fix then these could be for you. They also work abroad with the Feel at Home benefits - which doesn't include streaming of shows or music channels but does all email checking and internet browsing etc.
Might be of use to someone.
If you want to buy them then each 'order' is limited to 2 but it is simple to create multiple orders for 2 in each.

Too many wasted trips to Currys/PC World to fall for these phantom sim cards again.

I went to the Romford/Eastern Avenue Store for mine .. Blue water are the one's which were pegged as having 'Stock' left?, when I was doing my initial checkimg for some on both Tuesday AND Wednesday of this earlier Week .....

Store near me says they have stock but it won't let me reserve it for collection as it comes up with an error message saying they can't check stock!

That happened with me also!, and on more than 1 occasion too! (3 or 4 times actually?). :-(
Lol, but tried it a few more times same way, via different Devices, and BINGO!, hehehe, so .....
Trial and error mate? (no pun intended), lol. :-)

Showing at £0.97 when I looked but collect only. Trouble is, wild horses wouldn't persuade me to visit a PC World these days.

Ps.
Some of these are available in London too by the way? (for both Store collection, and free Home Delivery also). :-)

I take it that the OP's Deal is ONLY able to work via either a MiFi Device, and/or a Tablet only right?, and not via a Mobile Phone as well?, or ..... thanx. :-)

Just checked one of my sims and they have now switched of international roaming and I know that I haven't used it abroad for the full 2 months. Unfortunately they never told me they were doing this, and it explains why I couldn't roam on my last trip outside the EU. If I want to switch it on again I have to call them.

Looked at these , the Curry"s site says

Data valid for 30 days
Ideal for 4G enabled tablets and chromebooks

Want to get a Mifi device to use this with - does it mean the Mifi device has to be 4G enabled ? Want to use in a Mifi when i"m away in UK for my iphone 5s and ipad mini but don"t think either of those are 4G enabled ?
Any recommenadtions for a Mifi device for these ?
Cheers , Simon
just remember that Three will turn off the free roaming after 2 months. With 1Gb cards, you can chuck after 1 month.

Thanks for this OP, managed to reserve a couple this morning, better stock than the other day (I'm guessing some just didn't pick up their reservations).

I picked up a couple, one was already open and the sim had been removed from the card but was inside, got home and noticed it also has a dent in it, when checking out the guy started opening the packets, assumedly to scan the bar code until he realised there was a window on the cardboard packet. I thought what? What are you doing just trying to ruin the fact I bagged a couple of sims

I wasn't using it every day, but I still got a text to say I had been abroad for a month. To me it looks like they just count the days between UK use. I don't know yet if they will actually switch roaming off.

Couldn't stream radio in Spain on 3 recently, always dropped the stream after a few mins. Wifi in Spain streamed same station just fine.

I've used 3 Feel at Home for a couple of years and find I get a better/faster connection abroad. I was getting 60 Mbps in Denmark and similar in Spain. Only place I had an issue was South America, and that's because their infrastructure is poor, not because of 3.
I'm no longer with 3 btw, so not being biased, but their Feel at Home deal is generally very good!

is that two months after purchase or two months after first use do you know?

I found that I couldn't even browse. The foreign providers really throttle down the speed. I ended up not even using it. Tried it in the uk and I had two kids streaming youtube at the same time.

Thanks yes I'd seen this but it confused me as I always thought the mini sim was just the normal original sized sim, I've never seen a full sized sim before

It may work but the download speeds will be poor. Have tried in Italy last couple of years and almost unusable. 'Feel at Home' ??. I got one of the three mifi's from Currys and use it when camping or in the car. Great if the kids don't have any data allowance with their phones as the mifi becomes a hot spot.
