Pretty decent deal for this considering when I first posted it was a pre-order at £22.99 through Zavvi.
Don't forget you also get £1 digital credit and if you select 'no rush delivery' you also get an extra £1 digital credit (prime members)

The documentary on this about the making of was not bad, could have done with more of the voice stars, but it was interesting. Picture quality is as good as you're going to get until the inevitable 4K disc edition.

Doesn't matter which version you buy, Prime, Megatron, Starscream and a dozen other great characters are still wiped out.

There are two endings out there somewhere; one with the optimus teaser and one without.
I think my 1980s vhs had it, but my dvd version doesn't. Google isn't helping, so I can only assume that the non teaser is the original ending and that it was added to the vhs release after the fan backlash at the death of optimus

The original US theatre release didn't have the Prime will return ending. There was apparently a bit of outcry from the kids so when it was released here in the UK it got that bit added in.
I think it mentions it on one of the extras on either the DVD special edition or the original blu ray release.

I wouldn't buy it if it was £1.59. There's nostalgia and there's good. This falls firmly into the first category. Now if it were Marine Boy...

Starting Orson Welles, Leonard Nimoy, Eric Idle etc this is not just a massive toy advert, but a classic movie in its own right, if you haven't seen it, watch it asap. :sunglasses:

I got this for Xmas, but am I right in thinking the ending has changed slightly?
Turn away now if you've not seen it, as here be spoilers:
If I recall correctly, as Unicron's head is careering out into space, it mentions about the return of the greatest Transformer of them all (Optimus Prime), but in this version, it was not there.

I'm confused. The case says it's 1080p but that it's taken from a 4k master, so wouldn't that make it 4k?

Nope it's standard bluray so 1080P.
