Sims with an actual discount on steam? Shock! Worth noting these also give access to the Origin versions if you redeem the keys there for those that don't know. Also the Steam and Origin versions are on slightly different version numbers, shouldn't make any noticeable difference though.
Wish you could buy the DLC without owning the game... the couple packs I'm missing are actually reasonable priced with 75% off.

Hot seeing as sims 3 is never really discounted to a decent price (let alone a bundle discount on steam). for those wondering this bundle includes the base game and the generations, pets and seasons expansions (all good expansions, but my favourite by far is late night...despite all it's elevator related glitchiness  )

Sims is a guilty pleasure, but I really think they need to re-consider their pricing. I know you don't have to get absolutely every expansion, but it's off putting to buy into it when you tally up the base game and expansions and it works out about £150. Playing without expansions just feels like half a game. I think they'd make more money in the long run if they significantly reduced the price of the older expansions, made each expansion contain the previous expansions, or something other more accessible model than EA currently use.

You underestimate massively the power of children (target marketing) asking their parents who no no different for the latest expansion at Christmas. Why would EA allow last years expansion stuff be in this years expansion when they know people will buy both?
The way they release them modularity means a new person to Sims 3 or 4 has no idea if "Party pack" or whatever it is was from 2014 or 2017. They just see the new items which don't age. It's a brilliant business model, will earn them lots of cash, but no fans. But I bet they'd rather that than lots of fans with no cash.

I don't think I'm underestimating anything massively, it's called a difference of opinion

How big are the expansion's ? I thought the pets one was a proper release on the ps3 ?
I got excited until i tried to buy and found it won't let you buy expansions without the Base game installed on steam. All my sims are on origin. Pita!

yeah I had Sims 3 in origin too, only wanted pets so worked out cheaper getting the bundle than buying the dlc in origin
Opening post
Looks like a good deal for the bundle !
