what sort of heavy use? are you a butcher or just dismembering random corpses in the cellar?

I bet there sharp enough to cut your fingers off, but then you could not type and we would all miss your useful comments, what a shame!

I'm going to offer an alternative to fellow minimalists. They say a good cook only needs one good knife and this knife is one of the best value (Victorinox is used by the catering industry) and it will last for many years:
Obviously it won't appeal to everyone, especially if you actually need a bread knife but it's an option for those who don't want to clutter up their kitchen with tools they will never use.

Code still works and got the last set in Yorkshire... Dewsbury store. Is it likely to be a customer return?

Funnily enough I was just listening to a chef on a radio phone in the other night and he said by far the best all round knife was the Victorinox pastry knife, said he used it for almost everything (even if it does look like just a bread knife)

Collected mine today, absolute bargain for £20.24. A lot, lot better than I thought they would be.
Thanks for posting!

Make sure if you order it that it's home delivered and not where you can pick it up. Might have a bit of explaining to do if you're stopped by the polis

Wow great. 8 pieces of junk that's cheaper than a single half decent kitchen knife.

Totally agree. I prefer a magnetic knife rack and a small collection of great knives that i'll actually use.

We bought the coloured blade block at xmas. Up close the stand is cheap and plastic. The knifes are blunt. Disappointing but then they were pretty cheap. Link below to the set we bought -pictures make them look really nice....
Look stylish and just ordered two sets (two daughters) Thanks OP

I've got a set of these with coloured blades, excellent knives for the money. Only downside is the bread knife was only sharpened on one side, so it didn't really cut anything. Took a bit of grinding with a sharpener but it works perfectly now.
