Sorry didnt mean to cause such offense i wasnt aware of the water seal until recently

there was about a 1 inch gap.. I have had slow cookers for years these lids were warped.. and the replacement Crock Pot one we bought had a rubber seal so er yeah.. but it was a bargain for my freind he got a free slow cooker, not sure how thats an issue for you though?

Lids on slow cookers not supposed to be flush the boiling liquid condenses on the glass lid and runs down to form a seal around the rim so great bargain for your friend
