I got this deal. I've hooked the drive up but when transfering files my PC seems to get a little sluggish. Any reason why this would be?

Sorry, I should have been a little more clearer. Transfering of files is fast as I'm using supplied cable but when switichg between tabs / programs the PC seemed to freeze. Seems to be fine at the moment

Oh that is more of a PC issue. Could be the drive used to read from is running the operating system?

I concur. Sounds like a classic case of HDDitis. An SSD should clear that up nicely. I'm surprised they've lived this long without one.

Review at Tomshardware. Looks pretty good but worth noting that it's 3 and a half years old.

For £57. No complaints.

I got mine delivered a couple days ago too. First thing I did was tested it to see if it was working. Then I took it apart and installed it in my machine. Running fine. Drive speed is reporting as 5900rpm, I had a feeling it would be a slow drive but im not complaining. For this price, this drive is a steal!

I usually hear drives when loading up games (previous one this replaced). Not now.
