Whats better between the Samsung A5 and Samsung J5. Trying to decide between these 2 models as they are very similar in price.

I think the price/spec ratio is not to bad here. MOto g4 plus 2/16GB version after applying all their silly discount codes would probably cost the same or more. MOto has slightly better processor, this one has nice amoled screen, nfc, cameras are quite adequate in both. If you don't want to risk importing a phone from China then this is one of 3 or 4 phones in this price range worth looking at.

All of our refurbished products come with a 12 month warranty and the same Samsung support as our new products. – meaning your re-packaged device will be delivered to you in great condition.
Comes with a 12 month warranty anyway so I'm not too fussed aslong as it looks brand new, no scratches etc.

£186 for an 'as new' refurb with a 12 month warranty with Samsung is still a good deal, seeing as a brand new one is around £100 more. You also have the 28 days cool off period to return the phone for any reason, so if it arrives and it's not up to your expecations, just return it and get your money back.

I've bought a Galaxy S6 from the Samsung outlet before.
The handset was in brand new mint condition.
But it didn't come in the normal branded retail packaging, but in a generic box. I don't recall it coming with a set of earphones either.
Thought I'd mention it if there are people that may plan on selling the handset in the future.

I've heard of lots of cases of people buying Chinese phones from eBay and even Amazon sellers and discovering malware pre-installed on their dodgy customised roms etc.
I think it's better to stick to phones actually designed for the UK market and sold by reliable sellers. These days you can get great value without the need to import with all the risks that involves.

mine is going to be delivered tomorrow. Their site looks a bit dodgy. In the confirmation email I got an option to track my order but when clicked it takes me to the official samsung website. I'm glad I payed with Paypal. Probably will return it unopened. they should have put refurbished in the description

Also, this phone should be brand new as there is no mention that is refurbished. The stores homepage says it sells refurbished and new clearance items.

Thanks to OP, picked up mine today A3 that is . It seems to be new as pictured above, but it is very slippery tio handle, please can anyone advise on screen cover or a cover prefably a wallet style?, many thanks for a link if available. Hope this one will still be ok after loading a few apps etc.

The back shattered and chipped on a corner but the screen is in tact and it still work.
Contacted insurers and they request £50 excess plus cost of shipping to them for repairs & or a re-furb phone if it they can't.
Placed it in a case for now :smirk:
